5:23 p.m.
"I made it here perfectly unscathed, Mr. Blackwold, but thank you for the warning," Trevor replied as politely as one could make such a statement. "Have a pleasant day, too." With that, Trevor left James Blackwold's office, gave a polite goodbye as he passed the secretary, and then headed out the front entrance to the store and out into the muggle world once more. It took his eyes a moment to adjust from the indoor lighting to that of the sun. It had lowered slightly since he had come in, though not considerably enough to change the color of the sky yet.
Time to head home. Maybe he'd even stop and see Sienna. It wasn't like he had to be home anymore. Both of his girls were safely tucked away in Hogwarts receiving an education. He didn't have to worry about feeding them dinner. He could surprise Sienna, though. It was still a little early for most people to eat, so he had time to walk back to the wizarding world and get past all those pesky cars and grab some food somewhere and show up at her place. Sure, he'd be taking the risk that she wasn't home since she wouldn't be expecting him, but it was worth the risk. He could always save the extra food for later.
Musing over what exactly he was in the mood for that Sienna might like, Trevor began to cross the street. A loud hoooooooooooooooonk! interrupted his thought, and in a moment, he was on the ground.
"Oh my god! Oh my god! Sir, sir, are you alright?"
Trevor blurrily opened his eyes, blinking to bring the woman into focus. No, he wasn't fine. His arm was throbbing while at the same time feeling like someone was placing a daggar into it and twisting it about. But she didn't need to know that. She'd want to take him to a muggle hospital, and who knew what they'd do to him there. He just knew he wanted to go somewhere other than there. A bone regrowth potion was temporary pain. He was pretty sure muggles couldn't do that.
Nodding, Trevor pushed himself up with his good arm before cradling his bad arm. "I'll be fine. Just...watch where you're going next time," he told her harshly before beginning to walk away.
"Wait, sir! I need to give you..."
But Trevor didn't wait. He kept marching the rest of the way across the street, his teeth gritted and jaw set against the pain. As he made his way along the sidewalk hoping to find an alley, he began to chew at his tongue. Anything to distract him from the pain. He'd had worse, yes, but this was still hell. It took him a few minutes before he found an adequate alley way, and soon, he had apparated the one place he could think of: Sienna's.
It didn't matter she wasn't a healer. He just needed someone who could think clearly right now. Maybe she knew someone. He just didn't want to go to Mungo's. He could see the headlines now: Lord Williams Hit by Muggle Car. And then all the speculation about why he was out in the muggle world. That was the last thing he needed right now.
He winced and moaned slightly as he released his bad arm. The contraction of the muscles of his forearm to support the weight of his arm was enough to send a shooting pain up his body. Apparition hadn't helped. But he had to knock, so he took his good arm and lifted it, rapping metal against metal three times before recradling his bad arm. Please be here....
