So. A Muggle museum, only fourteen security guards total in the entire large building, and all night to work? Catrin's job would be easy, even though she was all alone. She wasn't even bothering to do this "the wizard way"; true, she had her wand stashed in her boot, but mostly she had minor explosives, miniature tear gas containers, shockers, and other pieces of Muggle technology. And this was still going to be easy... honestly, why was she even bothering?
Oh, that's right.
The Dragon's Pearl.
The item was a gigantic fire opal, actually the gizzard stone of a long-dead dragon, imbued with literally thousands of spells that the Aztecs had placed on it, giving it the ability to both produce and block attacks of a firey and explosive nature. In other words, exactly Catrin's cup of tea, and exactly what she needed to break into Nurmengard.
Crouching in the shadows outside the back entrance to the museum, blending in due to her dark-colored one-piece suit of high-quality, ultra-thin dragon hide, Catrin tugged out her wand before hurrying over to the door and opening it with a simple Alohomora spell. An alarm went off somewhere, and the redhead grinned, darting into the hallway, avoiding the cameras in the ceiling. She knew the guards would be there any minute, but she wanted to see how far she could get before they showed up to stop her.
Aha... the sound of rushing feet. How typical of hired security guards to make so much noise at a time like this. She actually laughed, albeit softly, and ran around the corner to meet them. The first one she took down with shockers, and the next few with highly skilled martial arts maneuvers, taught to her by her father back when he'd been with her. It was almost funny how bad the men were at fighting back; she had them down and out in no time. The next corridor afforded a few more, and the next one after that, but she took them all down in record time: only a few of them put up any sort of fight that made it worthwhile, but most of them fell within a few seconds. Her main source of amusement was counting them to see how many fewer she had less blocking her from her goal.
Finally, she had twelve of them down. The other ones were, she knew from her research into the job, guarding the opal itself, within the museum proper. They wouldn't be leaving their posts for anything, but they'd know she was coming.... This would be fun...
Note: This is basically her fighting style... in fact, it's even her doing it! (Scarlett Johansson, rather) www.youtube.com/watch?v=4-5eco5_T5o
