Blaine Manor
Adrian was furious - there was no other way to put it. He had just come from Gringotts Bank where the goblins there graciously informed him that his vault, which contained his life savings and trusts, was completely empty. They gave him no explanation and immediately showed him to the door. Adrian needed no explanation, however. The perpetrators were obvious: his parents. Thus, it seemed a trip to Blaine Manor was in order.
He hadn't been here in months. His stomach twisted with loathing and utter contempt for the place where he was raised as he strolled through the gate, past the gardens, and up to the door. He harshly rapped the giant double doors with the door knocker, creating an echo through the foyer. The doors ominously creaked open like they always did and Adrian proceeded to enter. He turned from the foyer into the tea room and ran right into his parents. They were seated around the tea table, as though expecting his arrival. Adrian knew well enough by now that they probably were.
"Apollo! My darling first! Come, come.... have a seat and I'll have the elves fetch us some more tea..." his mother started, "doting" over him in only that false way that she knew how.
"Cut the pleasantries, Mother." Adrian snapped, cutting her off. "You both know why I'm here."
"Do we?" His mother gave a wide smile, pouring herself some tea from the kettle. "I honestly can't say that we do, unless of course you've finally come to your senses and returned to us." She then took a loud sip of her tea.
Adrian rolled his eyes and tensed himself in order to prevent an outburst. "My money. Where is it?"
"Now, Apollo, my dear. Surely you realize why it had to come to this. You cut us off, so we cut you off. It's a harsh lesson to learn, but we know that in time you'll come to forgive us after you let us back into your life." His mother was still smiling as though this was a pleasant morning conversation.
"You mean control my life! That's all you two have ever done: meddle, manipulate and control! And you wonder why all of your children hate you?!" Adrian couldn't help it this time. His anger was too pent up.
"You watch your tongue, boy!" His father finally decided to chime in. "You do not talk to your mother that way. This is your fault entirely. If you wouldn't be wasting your life holed up in that dingy thing you call an apartment, maybe it wouldn't have come to this. You should be doing something, making the Blaine name stand for something. Just look at your brother Janus..."
"If you honestly believe anything that two-faced brother of mine says, you two are more delusional than I thought." Adrian couldn't believe he was hearing this.
"Apollo, you just need some guidance is all. You need stability, to settle down with a nice pureblood girl and move on with your life. In fact, I was just talking with one of my friends at our social club, and she just so happens to have a daughter who..." His mother was beginning to ramble and Adrian would have none of it.
"No!" he yelled out of exasperation. "Have you learned nothing from Aether? That was exactly how you pushed him out of your life, and now you want to arrange a marriage for me? You're unbelievable, the both of you. I'm your son! Doesn't it matter what I want for myself?" He was beginning to see exactly how this conversation was going to end.
"Apollo, my sweet Apollo..." His mother started.
"And stop calling me that! My name is Adrian - you're the one who named me for Merlin's sake!" It was one of his pet peeves that his mother constantly called him by his middle name.
"Now dear... you know we only gave you your first name because of the generous donation given to us by your uncle. You'll always be my darling little Apollo, my first." Her face had that same false smile she always wore.
Adrian had taken enough of it by this point. He knew well enough there was no reasoning with them. He threw his hands up in the air, and turned to storm off. He was not a child anymore. They couldn't do this to him! They didn't follow him as he stormed off to the door and onto the grounds. Adrian knew they expected him to be forced to return eventually. Adrian would never let that happen if it was the last thing he ever did.
Right now he needed to blow off some steam. He exited the manor grounds and immediately apparated. He knew exactly where to head.

Hog's Head Inn, Hogsmeade
Adrian headed down the path leading to the Hog's Head. He needed a place to drink, and this was one of the only solely magical places to do so. He briskly entered the pub, making no eye contact with anyone, and proceeded to sit at a table over in the corner. He needed to think, to plan out what he was going to do with himself. He was now effectively broke and he didn't have a job. He didn't like these prospects in the slightest and needed to figure a way around them. He would figure something out, and he would be sure to rub it in his parents' faces when he did.
