Note: If anyone wants to play out the observers, feel free to start another thread with your characters arriving at the game and follow the events of the game. I've had no official volunteers for the role of commentator, but if anyone wants to play the role, PM me. The first one to do so will be granted the role. Team members may create separate threads in this board as well for locker room pre-game if desired.
Please also refer to this thread for instructions regarding game play. Here is information on scoring. Since not every position is filled, we may look for people who are interested in NPC-ing the postions open, which are two Slytherin chaser positions and a Slytherin beater position. Gem, if you get the chance to speak to Ri before I do, ask her how she'd like DC handled, please? I know she's still on hiatus, but we need a game plan. Also, what do you want to do about Cassidy and Crystal?

The first game of the season already! Justin couldn't help but feel thrilled as he took the pitch with his teammates, his broom firmly in hand and face set with determination as he marched in formation towards the center of the pitch where Slytherin was also headed and the referee was waiting. The confusing events of the past two weeks were shoved to the far corners of his mind for tonight. He had to keep his mind clear and focused or else Slytherin would score on him, and that was something he could not allow. Sofi would never let him live that down nor would any of his other team mates--especially if Slytherin made over fifteen goals and could thereby beat them even if they caught the snitch or even scored a few goals that ultimately put Slytherin into the finals over them due to those points. Neither of those would happen.
Justin's eyes strayed momentarily towards the crowd and to the box where Melissa had formerly sat to cheer her three friends on but no longer was, and his expression wavered, but he quickly set it back in place and looked ahead. There was no need for any Slytherin to take notice and figure out what could potentially get to him if they jeered at him during the game. That would be the last thing she would want, after all--for him to get hurt or fail to block because of her. After all, that's why she had stated she hated to think he was in any danger because of her and why she had stopped writing him, right? On top of other things, he thought to himself ruefully. Head in the game! he scolded himself. Melissa and DC were thoughts to be far from his head for the next two hours. Thank Merlin they had been given an early dinner due to tonight's game or else that would be even harder to do.
