5 p.m.
Yes, it was an hour before dinner, so some people were bound to be hungry. Yes, it was kind of warm out. Yes, she was sure she would receive complaints. But did Addison care? Not particularly! The game between Slytherin and Hufflepuff was tomorrow, an hour after dinner, and they needed all the practice they could get. She'd be damned if they were to lose a game against Hufflepuff! Those little rats had hardly been worth their weight in gold last year as far as she was concerned, and it was going to stay that way as well. So, an extra practice was what was necessary. Since she had glanced at the practice schedule and seen some other house had the pitch an hour after dinner, she figured this was the best time. She had done her homework. None of her team had a class right before dinner.
Still, to try to curb complaints and booster compliance as much as possible--especially from the boys, whom she figured would be most affected by hunger--Addison had purchased snacks on the first Hogsmeade trip of the year last weekend. She had also made sure every evening to remind her players when she saw them at dinner or around the common room and at the last official practice to cancel all snogging sessions and other exciting things they had planned and prepare to gear up instead. So, people had better show. And as a good show of faith, she had bought a few things for an after party. She had debated having them on display, but in case any professors decided to check in while they were in the air, she had decided against it.
With a sigh, Addie looked at her watch and glanced towards the entrance to the pitch from her post leaning against a nearby Slytherin stand. No one yet. She sighed again, choosing to pick at her neatly manicured nails for a few moments before glancing over at the small table containing some water and wizarding sports drinks as well as some vegetables and dip, some cheese and crackers, and some bread. She figured that, after the march or flight back to the castle, her team could get much-needed post-workout protein from meat. Before, they could get their carbs from the crackers and bread and some protein from the cheese.
But enough of that boring nutrition stuff. All she cared about right now was seeing six other smiling faces (ok, she'd even take not smiling at this point) coming out onto the pitch.
((Just a note: There should be a button with a die appearing in it below the drop-down box that says "Colors" and to the right of the button with the bullets and lines. We could practice with the dice rolls, if you want to get the hang of it. If you can't see it, if you put "dice=6" in the middle of [], you'll have your die roll. No need for an "/dice."))
