How could she have been so stupid? The same question had been running through her mind ever since she heard about what had happened to Katya. Or what had nearly happened at least. Julia was supposed to be watching for any signs of Trevor’s children in her visions and she had ignored something that should have stuck out from everything else. Nothing about his youngest, but about Katya; which was why she should have noticed it. Katya had been the only person who actually treated her like a human being during her time in Puxley… And she had repaid it by ignoring a dream that had played out nearly exactly like she’d seen it. And what about the other that had been taken in Katya’s place? Julia knew nothing about her but the guilt weighed heavily on her. If she had just spoken up about the dream…
Another crystal ball shattered against the wall of the small cottage Trevor had set up for her until he deemed her estate fit for her to live in. That was the fifth orb she had gone through since getting the news about the witch she considered her friend. Julia hadn’t actually gone to see Katya, afraid of what Trevor would do, but she had certainly spent all of her time trying to figure out who the hell had tried to kidnap her. It was less for the good of the Garou that had been kidnapped and more to prevent the bastards from coming after Katya again. And maybe if she came up with some information about it all, Trevor wouldn’t be as angry when he found out she hadn’t told anyone about her dream.
He had to have some sort of idea that she knew something if he actually paid any attention to the tracking of her movements. She’d made trips to divination stores many times since that morning, picking up tea sets when she destroyed hers, getting tarot cards and crystal balls… The young woman had established quite a relationship with the owners of that shop; she felt horrible lying to them all the time. And today would just have to be another lie. She sighed as she raised her wand above her head and apparated outside of the door to the shop, smiling at the old man behind the counter as she walked in. ”I know… I’m back already.” The young woman went straight for the crystal balls and felt the connection to the right one immediately. It was almost like a connection to a wand for her… Like she didn’t choose her crystal ball, it chose her.
A few minutes later she was out of the store, her new crystal ball in a bag in her left hand. Right. Time to get back to work. She had people to find and report to Williams. She was sure that something else would happen to Katya if she gave up. But perhaps a break was warranted. It would at least extend the life of the newest crystal ball. She had been so tense lately… Maybe some tea that she didn’t have to read after drinking. It was with that in mind that she made her way to The Leaky Cauldron. ”Tea, please.”
Once she had her drink the young woman took a seat at a table tucked into the corner. Julia was always careful when she was in public. And now she had something that marked that she was at least interested in divination. Not quite advertising to the world that she was a Seer but not hiding it either. Julia let herself settle into the seat and hung her bag on the back of her chair. After about half of the tea was finished she shifted her position without thinking and the bag fell, sending the crystal ball rolling across the floor. ’Way to stay inconspicuous, Julia.' She chided herself. ”Mon dieu.” She quickly got to her feet and chased after the ball and picked it up. As she stood to go back to her table she bumped into someone and nearly dropped the orb again. ”Oh! I’m sorry. I just… Um, sorry.”
