Well this was certainly interesting. Kristof leaned against the wall and stroked his chin. Given this particular information, well, it might just raise his standing with the current regime. The more trust he had, the farther he could get without getting reprimanded. Wonderful. He clapped his hands together once. Yes, time to go meet a certain Lord Williams. Crossing through the front office, he smoothly gave his secretary instructions, "Going out for a bit, Clara. Reschedule any appointments, reroute any ... other business. You know how I like it." Clara nodded, mumbling something. He smirked and patted her on the head before exiting the building. She was so eager to please her boss. In so many ways.
Just before fully stepping outside, he turned on his heel and called back to her. "And give Marco an advancement this month." A little reward for the little rat inspires loyalty. More or less. After all, isn't that what he was about to do with Williams? And the circle goes round. As long as you were near the top, it was all good. More to tie one to, but also more scapegoats to use. Now, let's see. Lord Williams resided in Puxley. Best route was Apparating. How nauseating but necessary, and one must do necessary things. Inhaling deeply, then and exhale and spin.
Ah, here he was. Hands went into pockets as the man admired Puxley Manor. Rather ballsy, wasn't he? Such an open base of operations. Ah, then again, he had taken over a rather open business building himself. Oh, the similarities. He could use that to his advantage, squander a few favors or some higher standing by appeasing their similarities. Connections made the most of life, but now for the main event. He straightened his jacket and tie before knocking on the door. It opened and Kristof put on his "smug but charming" smile. "Evening. May I speak with Mister Williams?"
