11:45 p.m Follows Setting Things into Motion
It was safe to say that anyone within a five mile radius of Markus would have ran as if the very hounds of hell were after him as he stalked out of the meeting room without so much as a backward glance. ”Useless people and their misguided morals…” He sighed and stopped moving, pinching the bridge of his nose in frustration as he finally came to a stop. He was mad, no questions there, but he needed to calm down. If he went home like this it would just put Kirsten in a mood and that was the last thing he wanted to do. Yes he would have to tell her that he walked out on what was left of the Order, and he was sure she wouldn’t take that very well, but eventually he hoped she would understand why he did what he did. The risk was just too great.
Markus sighed again and dropped his hand down to his side and took a look around. Where in the devil had he wandered off too? In his enraged stalk he hadn’t really been paying attention to where he was going; just letting his feet take him where they wanted. Bugger. A glimpse of movement farther down the path heading toward the maze caught his attention for a moment. Was Casey still here? Markus had to admit the other mans motives were quite refreshing. Absently the captain took off at an easy jog in hopes of catching up to whoever was about to leave. If t was Casey, Markus couldn’t help but wonder if the man still had the notion to carry out his plan somehow… if he did, maybe the man would be willing to accept some help.
”Winslow?!” He called out as he got closer to the other man. ”Winslow! Casey, hold on a minute!” Markus slowed his pace once he finally caught up to the man when he turned to see who had called out. Slightly out of breath he gave Casey a slight grin, though it was devoid of any warmth. ”Do you still want help?”
