The harsh, unforgiving cold of winter has long set in. Snow covers the ground and students tend find things to do inside as much as possible. With the Yule Ball fast approaching, students certainly have things to discuss and plan.
Politically, things are nowhere near as sound as people are lead to believe. There is turmoil amongst the ranks of the Death Eaters as Callid Warren and Fierro Darque plot against Trevor Williams, who is aided by Sienna Faber, but can she be trusted? Even amongst the people, there seems to be social unrest as SAVIOR works to free slaves and the leader of the Order of the Phoenix finds himself captured. Unification is necessary, but will it happen?

Corridors The corridors of Hogwarts aren't always littered with students, but they are the choice places to host any prank. Peeves the Poltergeist remains a constant threat, and the ghosts of Hogwarts can be met in many places. Off them, you may find the library, the hospital wing, and many other things.

Grounds The grounds of Hogwarts hold many beautiful and intriguing points of interest, some of which students avoid like the plague and others of which they flock to to spend time with friends or spend some time alone to study, draw, or think. The lake spans a vast amount of space, hosting the giant squid, which peeks at tentacle out here or there, earning the awe of the first years; contrastingly, many students view the Forbidden Forest with a sense of foreboding and sometimes use it as a place to make their best mates enter on dares.

Quidditch Pitch This well-known wizarding sport is a much-needed release for some students to escape the pressures of academia. Practices are held here as well as games, and sometimes you'll find a straggler just looking to enjoy the wind through his hair and some alone time.
Foyer/Great Hall The huge doors of the castle open into the vast foyer. Straight ahead is a grand staircase that leads to the first floor with staircases leading down to the Slytherin commons or the kitchen and Hufflepuff commons. On the right as one enters he will find the Great Hall and to the left is a corridor few ever use.
Classrooms & Offices While many classrooms certainly are empty, there are still quite a few in use whether for class or some choice extracurricular activities for some of the more daring students. Many professors maintain their offices near their classrooms, but at times they are on entirely different floors.

Common Rooms The student commons are located throughout the large castle. The decor varies based on the house each is for. Gryffindors and Ravenclaws each dwell in towers on the seventh floors, whereas the Hufflepuffs and the Slytherins both dwell in separate wings of the dungeons. Professors, on the other hand, dwell in a corridor on the main floor.
