The harsh, unforgiving cold of winter has long set in. Snow covers the ground and students tend find things to do inside as much as possible. With the Yule Ball fast approaching, students certainly have things to discuss and plan.
Politically, things are nowhere near as sound as people are lead to believe. There is turmoil amongst the ranks of the Death Eaters as Callid Warren and Fierro Darque plot against Trevor Williams, who is aided by Sienna Faber, but can she be trusted? Even amongst the people, there seems to be social unrest as SAVIOR works to free slaves and the leader of the Order of the Phoenix finds himself captured. Unification is necessary, but will it happen?

"Thanks..." she murmured. Sienna couldn't help but smile a little as Callid responded. It was rare when Callid chose to be nice, even to her, so she was slightly surprised he responded at all. She nodded as she turned to face him, handing him her key and taking another sip of her firewhiskey. Watching him intently as he went out on the balcony, she was about to ask what he was doing when suddenly he cast the imperious curse at a muggle on the street below. As he came back inside and headed for the door, Sienna waited patiently as he went to retrieve their new pet. Raising a brow at the greeting the man gave her, she rolled her eyes and looked at Callid, unable to hide her smirk. "You are such an ass, Callid...honestly..." Turning to the blond man she smiled sweetly and said, pointing to the second bedroom, "You, sweetie, go wait in there and we'll come get you when we need you."

"I try." He knew she felt better though; she'd have to keep her morale up if they intended on pulling this thing off. He watched as their test subject walked away. "I'll let you take over from here... Holding one subject under the Imperius at a time is enough for me." He strode over to the couch and picked up her notebook again. "Now then, if you'll allow me to borrow your notebook and key for a while, I shall go and get our supplies. In the meantime, relax or whatever you wish. I'm sure you'll find something to do." He gave a nasty glance back to their slave's room before leaving. After taking the elevator down, he walked out and into a nearby alley, apparating back to his manor.
Walking onto his manor's grounds, he casually flicked his wand, silently casting 'Domadormum' to bring his home out of lockdown. He'd been using the defense more frequently than usual, but then again the time had come for him to use the most caution. He didn't trust Trevor farther than you could kick him and he undoubtedly had some plan or scheme underway. It certainly was helpful to know that nobody would be entering the manor while he slept or was out. He strode down the main hall, past the library and 'ballroom', and entered his north wing. Turning away from the door to his office, he opened a wooden door that led down into a wine cellar. There was indeed wine down here, but there was also more. Pushing a revolving shelf of wine to reveal the remaining part of the cellar, Callid entered what was his potion ingredient storage chamber.
He walked over to the shelf specifically designed for polyjuice. He'd already stewed the lacewing flies 21 days prior, so it was more or less ready to go. He got the knot grass, the fluxweed, the boomslang skin, the powdered bicorn horn, and all the rest of the basic ingredients easily. As he went down the rest of the list, he had to begin searching elsewhere. Ground dragon fang and Jabberknoll feathers weren't hard to come by, but the Tebo hide was slightly harder. And the runespoor egg? Now that was black market material... not that he didn't have it of course. It just required a bit more searching. Once he had everything gathered, he simply placed the ingredients and a small cauldron into a magically expanded brief case. Taking the case with him, he exited the storage chamber as quickly as he'd entered. Leaving the manor, he silently recast 'Domarma' to lock down his manor once more and then apparated back to the London suburb.

Sienna nodded and took over holding their new pet under the curse as Callid continued speaking, telling her that he was going to get the supplies they would need and that she should enjoy herself while he was gone. Handing him her notebook and her hotel key, Sienna said, "You know if you're going to be here on a regular basis, it might be easier if you got a spare key from the front desk, Callid." Continuing thoughtfully, she said, "It might be good if you had a spare key anyway, for emergencies and such, just in case you'd need it..."
As Callid left the room, Sienna turned to look around the luxurious penthouse, wondering what she should do to amuse herself while her partner was gone. As her gaze fell on her wand laying on top of the chest, Sienna felt her lips curving upward into an evil smirk. Grabbing her wand she decided to play with her new pet and review her arsenal of spells at the same time... Might as well mix business with pleasure right?

As Callid reappeared in the same alleyway that he had left from and began to walk back to the hotel, he couldn't help but glance down at the list of supplies, rechecking to make sure he had everything they needed. Not that it was a terribly hard thing to return back to his manor, but still he preferred to get things done in one shot. Having checked it for what was probably the third time, he tucked the notebook under his arm and strode into the hotel. Mindful of Sienna's suggestion, he decided it probably would be best if he had a spare key to her room. Rather than go through the hassle of trying to explain why he needed the key to a room that was not signed to his name, he decided a quick Imperius would do.
He walked up to the desk, pulling out his wand but at the same time keeping it concealed. As the desk clerk turned around to face him, he snuck his wand up and whispered "Imperio". A few minutes later he had the spare key and was on his way back up to Sienna's room. He gave a courtesy knock on the door before entering, to announce his presence. As he entered the room, he didn't see Sienna in the immediate vicinity. "Sienna," he called out, "I'm back." He sat his briefcase and the notebook down on the table in the dining area, and began pulling the ingredients out of the briefcase.

Callid's announcement was met by a strangled, gurgling noise coming from the bedroom Sienna had told the muggle to wait in. For the past hour or so, she had been reclining in the window seat of the spare bedroom, torturing her new plaything, using him as a practice dummy. Hey, she hadn't had the use of a wand in over six months; she had to brush up on her arsenal now didn't she? And what better way to review than on a helpless muggle under her control? Currently the unfortunate man was sitting on the bed, bound with shadowy bonds obviously magical in origin, and being choked by some invisible force, thus the odd noise emanating from the bedroom. As she heard Callid return, Sienna called out, "In here," and released the choking spell on her toy as his eyes began to bulge. Contemplating what spell she wanted to try next, she smirked and muttered "Fuego," watching gleefully as the man seemed to explode into flames. Of course the spell was merely an illusion, but it was one of Sienna's favorites, having developed it herself, and she couldn't contain a soft bout of evil laughter at the sight.

After getting out all that he had brought with him in the briefcase and arranging it neatly on the table, he made his way back to the room from which Sienna's voice had emanated. There was also a strange, muffled noise come from the room which he could only assume was what was left of the muggle he had left in her control. Upon entering the framework of the room, he gave a smirk as his notion was confirmed. The man was now engulfed in flames and certainly looked a little worse for the wear. Callid gave a small chuckle at Sienna's bout of laughter and responded, "I see you've been having fun." He stared at their struggling victim, rather amused by his pathetic screams. "But do try to keep a piece of him around. We wouldn't want to have to summon up another muggle to test the potion on, now would we?" Obviously, he was being facetious. After all, what was another muggle or two? There were many more where he came from, and Callid had no qualms about using a multitude if they had to, to test this potion.

Sienna sighed dramatically and rolled her eyes at Callid, playfully throwing a pillow at him as she dropped the spells she was currently holding on the muggle, and said with a smirk, "You're such a spoil-sport, Callid..." Chuckling slightly as the muggle's eyes rolled back in his head and he collapsed back on the bed, probably half-insane from the torture she had put him through in the last hour, rather proud of herself for still being able to inflict that much damage after not using a wand for over six months. "But I suppose we do have work to do, don't we, dear?" Stretching languorously, almost reminiscent of a cat awakening after a nap, Sienna stood up from the window seat and strode over to the muggle on the bed, holding her hand in front of his nose to ensure he was still breathing, then lightly placing her fingers on his neck to take his pulse. Chuckling slightly, her voice regaining that silky quality she was known for, she remarked, showing her contempt for muggles, "Its pulse is a bit erratic, but its still breathing, so it should survive long enough for us to put it through its paces."
Wiping her hands on the sheet as though she had just touched something slimy, Sienna turned from the prone muggle and strode out into the living room and over to the ingredients Callid had assembled on the table. Picking up her notebook, she began looking over the list of ingredients and checking them against the items Callid had supplied. After a few minutes of diligently checking the items, she said off-hand, "Everything seems to be in order..." Not that she had expected them to be otherwise. For no matter what Trevor said about Callid, the man was very meticulous and rarely made an organizational mistake. Turning to look at Callid she added, "Shall we get started then?"

Callid caught the pillow that was tossed at him and casually tossed it aside. "Why yes I am. Spoiling others' fun is fun in and of itself," he replied with a smirk. "But, yes, there is work to be done... lots of it. Taking over a nation isn't exactly child's play, now is it?" He watched, amused, as Sienna went to make sure their test subject was still among the living. "Good. It would be a sad day for Muggles if we kept plucking them off the streets." In reality, it would be a bad thing. Questions would be asked and the last thing they needed was some stupid incident with the muggle pleasemen. Callid watched as Sienna checked over the supplies, knowing full well that everything was "in order". After all, he wouldn't make some trivial mistake like that. Those were the kinds of things that made you slip up and destroyed plans. "Of course. Though, I should warn you that while I may have gotten much better at it since my years at Hogwarts, I never really had the patience required for potions-making. I am, of course, adequate at it, but I daresay with you here things will run along much more smoothly, yes?"

Sienna chuckled as Callid actually admitted to having a weak point. The man was more arrogant and narcissistic than anyone she had ever met, and the mere fact that he would admit even to himself that he had a weakness was mind-boggling to Sienna. She had known him for almost three years and he had never been one to imply he was anything but perfect. She smirked at the thought of telling Trevor; he would never believe it, even if he'd heard it himself.
As she began arranging the ingredients she would need for the potion, Sienna replied, unable to keep a teasing tone from her words, "I'll do the potion, dear. Wouldn't want you blowing up my penthouse, now would I?" Walking over to her trunk she pulled out her table-top cauldron and brought it back to the table, beginning to combine the ingredients in it. As the mixture began to bubble and give off a surprisingly pleasant aroma, considering some of the ingredients, Sienna consulted with her notebook again, muttering to herself as she read. "After the potion simmers for an hour, it needs to rest for another hour before we can test it..." Looking across the table at Callid, she smirked, nodding toward the room their guinea pig was in, "Give our little friend a chance to recover a little..." She laughed at her own joke and walked into the kitchen, heading for the fridge. Opening the cold box, she surveyed the contents and reached for a pudding cup. "Care for anything, dear? I'm feeling a little peckish myself..."
