Trevor nodded. "Alright," he replied simply. He wasn't going to argue with her. He could always have her things from here shipped or buy her new things. It wasn't like it was a major issue. Besides, he liked the eagerness her not wanting to run up to her dorm and get her things right this moment implied she had. She knew what she wanted and was going for it. Reminded him of someone he used to know yet someone he usually avoided thinking about. However, today he would have to speak of her quite a bit--today and many to follow. There would be trips through the photo albums, the trunk that held some of her old things that he'd kept for memory's sake. Yes, Anna was worming her way back into his life even from the grave, and he had a feeling it was going to be difficult, but maybe it would help having Kiley there, and it would certainly keep his mind off Evie. Maybe he would finally be able to let go of those emotions. Maybe it would be good for him. Maybe.
He gave his daughter a smile before moving towards the library door, keeping his pace moderate so she could easily keep up or quicken it according to how she walked. It wasn't a matter of being lost in the school, for he still remembered it well enough to get to the main entrance. Rather, it was just to be able to keep conversation going--unless she wanted to be left to her thoughts. Nevertheless, he thought now was probably a good time to touch on the name topic. He'd rather tell her that much at the very least right now instead of have her hear him call her "Kiley" and react however then. One less thing to overwhelm her in the hectic situation that was certain to arise once they reached what she had known as home growing up was better in his opinion.
"Um, so, how partial are you to your name?" he asked, deciding to speak in English so that the majority of the students were less likely to understand them. Some might, but so what? He just thought he'd try to give her as much privacy as was humanly possible in a place crawling with people here and there as it was winter holiday and therefore no classes were being held. Eventually, it wouldn't matter. If all went well, it wouldn't matter at all. There'd be rumors about her and why she'd left or whatever most likely, but she'd be too busy learning her way around a new place and family because Trey had self-destructed and shown his true colors. He had to.
((Hmm...Not me as I'm not threatening/scaring myself, lol, and not you since I doubt you want to interact with yourself, too. Anyone interested in taking on a character for a thread, PM me? If not, *eyes other staff and then the Destiny acct.*
Annnd done.))
