11:00am
The day was shaping up to be a good one in the professors mind. The sun was shining, it was reasonable warm out and he had got a good portion of his supply purchasing for the upcoming term finished. Currently he was finishing up with the local Apothecary; it never hurt to have extra healing and blood replenishing potions around for the first few lessons of the year, especially in the lower years. Never a dull moment that was for sure. Perhaps he would speak with Jasper once the term had started to see if the man would be willing to keep him stocked for the term. And so it was, a half hour after he entered, Dresden left the Apothecary with a smile on his face, the last of his purchasing for the day finished. All that was left now was some leisure time before heading back home.
He set about happily wandering the streets of Knockturn Alley, entering shops at random before making a fairly long stay in the local bookstore. Of course the man couldn't leave without adding a few more dark arts books to his collection. Tucking them under his arm as he continued down the street he couldn't help but chuckle at the small crowd of kids around the Quiddtch shops window figuring the shopkeep must have got something new and exciting in for the year. Now that was one of the rare things he missed from his school days; playing as chaser on the Ravenclaw team. Dresden hardly got to play at all anymore unless it was with a group of randoms in a pick up game of sorts. Which while not being the end of the world (some games were quite rough and rather fun) it wasn't quite the same.
As he jostled for a position among the kids to get a better view of what was in the window, the professor unceremoniously plowed straight into something, or someone rather solid. "Bloody hell," he muttered under his breath as he quickly reached down to get a grip on his small stack of books he had tucked under his arm before looking back up at the man he had just run over. "Terribly sorry about that and all..."
