For Jaleth, this was quite the busy day.
First, he had to clean himself up. Seeing himself after his last encounter with Kara, he was oddly struck with how horrid he looked. Indeed, his classes thought he had quite lost his mind. He shaved, he clothed himself in pretty modern styles, he was somewhat distracted...things were downright strange in the man's world, at least in the students' perspective.
On this day in particular, Jaleth actually had his suit on. Black, of course, with a dark red tie. He looked eerily..normal. Of course, within the heavy overcoat rested his wand, but that was another matter. A mixture of dread and excitement struggled within the man, several stops being on his outward journey today.
He wasn't one to leave the safety of Hogwarts much anymore, but he could not turn down his teasing invitation. He'd waited a week, maybe a little more...and that's all his impatience would tolerate. He'd go to the address left for him, seeking Kara out. First, though, another stop was in order.
The remnants of a passing storm was all around Jaleth as he traveled. The dampness, the cool air, the hints of the approaching winter. It was very much his season, really, for the sullen, brooding man was not exactly a creature of sunlight. He yearned to find Kara, to see her again, but he had one final stop to make. The cemetery. It was a passing stop...he had not been to his dead wife's grave since she was placed in it. That was still a mixed bag of emotions, especially now. Perhaps the goodbye, perhaps the turning of the page...but it did require a moment. He left a single flower there to die along with the weather, and he was off.
It took some time, actually, for Jaleth was no longer familiar with the streets. However, he was not to be deterred. He gradually came to the address left for him. At first, he wondered if this hadn't been some joke, some payback for his treatment of Kara. It was nondescript, seemingly...one might wonder if anyone lived there at all. At first, he tapped on the door...no response. It was his turn to be the sneaky one, though. A few maneuvers, and the door gave way to him quietly, the man slipping inside. It was dark, of course, as no one seemed to be there. But someone lived here, surely. He would wait. Explore. Play the little game set out for him, seemingly. Whatever it took. The past was in the past, and this future was before him.
