Friday November 18th, 2011'He had it coming,
He had it coming
He only had himself to blame
If you'd have been there,
If you'd have seen it
I betcha you would have done the same'
There wasn't a lot of songs written about justifiable murder and the ones she did find were...well, they didn't really suit her but this song..Even if Trevor hadn't been directly abusive to her or cheated on her as far as she knew, it didn't really matter regardless if he had but that was besides the point. The passion behind the words was what really got to her.
Evie couldn't help but feel like this song was written for her. Even if she knew it wasn't she could relate to it so much..which was probably why she feel in love with the musical Chicago when she first saw it. Muggles had a great amount of creativity, she had been introduced to what they call movies and DVDS and iPod's and all that other techno magic when she first went into hiding. (had to learn how to blend in.) The things they could do in the absence of magic was amazing and Evie had quickly become hooked. She patricually liked the movie musicals like the one she was listening to now. Liked it so much in fact that she found herself singing and dancing to the songs when ever she was alone in the warehouse.
As part of her fitness routine Evie would dance..nothing extremely fancy but she found that it was a great workout and when she got in the mood to really get into it Evie would put on a pair of leggings, high heels and dance/act her little heart out. It helped build up her calves and stamina and she just felt so good doing it, even if she was sure she looked completely ridiculous. That was why she made sure she was alone before she busted out the heals and the dance.
After so many times doing it she even made up a routine that she would always do, it mimicked part of the movie but the rest (that she couldn't do) she just found something that suited her skills better and after a while Evie was able to incorporate a chair, high kicks and other 'tricks.' Maybe once this was all over she would take up dance. She liked it and Evie knew she would need some kind of a hobby. Focusing on Trevor had been her life, had completely taken over everything she did this past year...she was going to need something to keep herself together.
~*~*~*~*~
The little radio she had was turned up to full volume and her iPod had been on shuffle with her dance mix and Evie had danced to every one of them. Had worked up quite a sweat so much that her tight black tank top and short leggings had clung to her and Evie had taken a short break to catch her breath. Grabbing some water and a towel she patted herself off and draped it around her neck when she was finished. As she did she walked over to the counter where a pair of black heels were and slipped them on. Her legs ached at her for it but the end result was worth it. Waving her hand at her radio the iPod turned to her favorite song thanks to a bit of wandless magic. As the words began to play Evie took one of the chairs from the table and drug it to the middle of the room where she had space cleared.
'Pop!
Six!
Squish!
Uh uh,
Cicero,
Lipschitz!'
The song started and Evie threw the towel off to the side and listened to the words. She lifted her foot and placed it on the seat of the chair'Pop!
Six!
Squish!
Uh uh,
Cicero,
Lipschitz! '
placing her hand on the back of the chair as the song continued, counting in her head and waiting for her mark.'Pop!
Six!
Squish!
Uh uh,
Cicero,
Lipschitz!'
Finally, the song picked up and Evie began her little reherssed routine. She was lucky that when she was younger she had learned a bit of dance. She could tango and waltz, a little bit of ballet..her mother had always insisted on it. At least, that was what she thought. It was hard to remember but..'He had it coming,
he had it coming
He took a flower in its prime
And then he used it
and he abused it
It was a murder but not a crime'
Evie used the chair to support herself. Kicking her leg over it, standing on it and back down again, kicking it out of the way when she was done with it as the song progressed and got more aggressive.
'Then he ran into my knife
He ran into my knife ten times'
Oh how she wished. Evie would give anything to plunge a knife deep into Trevor, to watch the light leave his eyes and feel the warm gush of his blood on her hands as she twisted the blade inside him. She moved with the song, doing high kicks in her heals and spins, flexing her body every which way she could. Her legs were on fire and they threatened to give out of her, she could feel the muscles tightening and aching but Evie didn't care. She worked through it, if they gave out they gave out and then she would stop. But until then...'The dirty bum,
bum, bum, bum, bum
They had it comin',
they had it comin'
They had it comin' all along
'Cause if they used us
and they abused us
How could they tell us that we were wrong?
He had it coming,
he had it coming
He only had himself to blame
If you'd have been there,
if you'd have seen it
I betcha you would have done the same'
As the song reached its more dramatic ending Evie walked back to where she had kicked her chair, bent down and dragged it back to the center and used it like it was a person. She stood on it once more, kicked her leg over it, jumped back down and sat before getting up and finishing her little dance. This song had always gotten to her for obvious reasons and even if she was tired and sore there were still strong emotions there that she needed to get rid of. Maybe after this she would hit the bag, throw a few punches and let out the anger that way. Once she was done Evie collapsed back onto the chair and sat there after kicking off the shoes, accioing the towel back to her and digging her face into it after running it over her hair to get rid of the beads of sweat. Her chest was heaving and tight, she needed some more water but moving felt like such a chore right now. Little did she know that she had a audience.
