He let go a silent breath he didn't realize he'd been holding when Cora stated she wasn't going to take his head off. In fact if he wasn't mistaken, it seemed as though she appreciated his small show of backbone. Well that was always good considering he'd never worked with her before. And even if he had, honestly he found he liked working with her now, perhaps this could become a base for a good working relationship?
His gaze fell on the prisoner and the pair holding her as the hit-witch directed one of the guard to prepare the her for transport to Azkaban. He couldn't help the smirk that took hold of his face when the unfortunate man told the Dark Lady he had nothing to restrain the slave with. Stupid man, transfigure something, Teague mentally yelled at him. Since he wasn't stupid enough to step between the hit-witch and the guard that was about to be dead as far as he could tell, he kept at least one eye on the bunch guarding the girl...just in-case.
Good thing he did did to because no sooner did his attention back to her she made a small quip about meteors. of course the guards all looked in whatever direction the slave had looked in and if Teague hadn't been already moving toward her he would have beat the tar out of the guards, that is if Cora didn't beat him to it. his eye's widened slightly when the girl reached for her wand and fired off a reducto at his feet. Good thing he had the foresight to recast his shield charm, which had taken the brunt of the blast. Smoke and debree rained down on the area and he moved on pure instinct when he heard the girl run. He had faith in Cora's skill, knowing she'd be on his tail in a heartbeat if she wasn't already.
He bolted after the girl, gaining with every stride until her lead was all but lost. He had no idea what building she was heading to, his eyes were fixated on her, like a hound closing in of a fox. He dove for her as stopped in front of the window and he latched onto her cloak, while dodging the first she threw at his face. Momentum carried them through the window and he landed hard on his back. Quickly glancing around he realized they were in a broom shop. He flipped him self over and lunged at the girl as she made a bid for freedom on a broom. He latched onto her foot a she flew back out the window dragging him with her; if he could use his weight to keep her from getting to much altitude Cora could blast her to bits. It was a sound plan until a snake slithered out of her pant leg and sunk its fangs into his wrist. He let go with a yelp, almost face planting into the pavement. Tucking his hand oozing hand close to his side he looked for Cora hoping she had managed to salvage something.
