It was hard not to pull away when Trevor placed his hand on his back and harder still to force himself to walk along with him. They walked in silence for the short trek and to be honest Julian kind of wished the man would say something, anything really to distract him from dwelling on everything that was said earlier. Had Morgana really killed his mum and sister? Was his dad mistaken? Or was Trevor lying through his teeth? The teen was pulled from his thoughts when the pair entered a small clearing and he paused, only to feel the pressure of Trevor’s hand on his back urging him forward. They stopped again a moment later and he watched Trevor do a series of complicated wand motions, presumably unlocking the place, before opening the door and motioning him inside.
Julian swallowed hard. This was it. Once he was inside he had no doubts he would ever be leaving again and it was tempting just to turn and bolt into the trees, consequences be damned. Common sense ruled out though and the teen took a few hesitant steps forward until he was standing in the entryway. His unease was slightly tempered by his curiosity; his eyes wandered over what little he could see of the house, taking in every detail. The teen visibly flinched at the sound of the door locking, and when Trevor asked if he could get him anything, Julian shook his head and hugged himself tightly.
”Feel free to take a seat, make yourself at home.”
Make himself at home? Ha! What a joke… this would never be home! Julian shot a glare at Trevor before slowly making his way into the sitting room, checking things out as he went, though once there he made no move to sit down figuring he’d let Trevor make the first move.
