He grinned at Milo as he opened his own frog package and as careful as he was (you’d think he’d have a system for holding on to them by now) the chocolaty goodness almost managed an escape. Using his quick reflexes (dueling had been good for something) he managed to snag the chocolate amphibian mid jump, and pop it into his mouth in one fluid motion. Ah, heaven! He watched Milo flop down into the chair across from his and seemingly settle in for the long haul. On a happy note, it did seem like the man was giving him a fairly substantial hint…even if it was garbled almost beyond all recognition. Flopping in his own chair, he set his feet up comfortable on the corner of his desk before adopting what his students had dubbed his ‘signature’ thinking pose; elbows resting on the arms of his chair, steepling his hands, eyes narrowed and seemingly very deep in thought.
Now, what bits of information could he pick out of Milo’s garbled sentence? He could always ask Milo to repeat himself but judging by the smile the man was now giving him, Dres chalked that up to a lost cause. The more thought he began to put into this little game the more he found himself slipping back into old habits…most notably the talking himself through the problem. ”Hmmm…A' a' 'or 'i'ee, 'o! 'ah' 'er?…so not Kiley…lives near here, I know her,he knows her. Of course he knows her..” the last was said as he made a slight face. ”Name, need a name…Melissa..nooo…Allison, to spunky…Uraina, to jokey…Cat…” As he listed off names he watched Milo out of the corner of his eye, hoping if he got close or hit it right on Milo would have a tell.
