I feel no sympathy, you lived inside a cave

Green flames flicked and fwooshed to life in the central area of The Leaky Cauldron. Lissianna Delacruz stepped out of the fireplace and brushed off her jacket. That was the one thing she disliked about Floo travel; she could never wear light colored clothing. She surveyed the room with a quick glance, taking note that it was much more crowded than usual for a Wednesday morning. Well, here goes her public face. She straightened her her clothes and made for the back door. The bartender spotted her and gave her a wave and a smile, which Liss returned.
"Will it be the usual, Miss Delacruz?" the bartender asked, continuing to clean glasses. Liss shook her head, responding, "Not today, perhaps next time." She'll have more time the next trip. Right now, she had supplies to gather and thoughts to rearrange. She passed into the back alley and tapped the appropriate bricks to enter Diagon Alley. It never ceased to take her breath away to watch the bricks rearrange themselves into the archway that led to the popular wizard marketplace, busy as usual, once she joined the throng.
She pulled a scrap of paper from her pocket, skimming over the list. Flourish and Blotts for new books, broomstick (2nd Hand Brooms, Broomstix), some owl treats from Eeylops Owl Emporium, and Scribbulus Writing Instruments. Not to mention a few Muggle stores for later. Perhaps if she had time, she'd have a treat at the Ice Cream Parlour. Merlin knows she needs something sweet to carry through the day. Well, first stop would be Flourish and Blotts.
Liss folded up the paper and stowed it in her pocket, weaving through the crowd. She kept to the edges, holding her bag close to her, shoulder hunched in a bit to minimize her size, not that she wasn't already small. Her size did make it easier for her to squeeze between groups of people without losing her speed. Ah, there it was. Liss darted inside, before releasing her breath. Mm. The smell of books calmed her nerves and she immediately went for the stairs, giving the cashierman a courteous wave.
History and Herbology. History and Herbology. She muttered those over and over, running her fingers over the bindings of various books. She grabbed a few as she spotted them. Since her employer had passed the job onto her, she'd have to catch up with the basic knowledge of Hogwarts. The herbology texts were for her own enjoyment. A new edition had been published and she was anxious to get her hands on it.
A stack of books in her arms, Liss turned around and made for the stairs, ready to give the downstairs a casual peruse before moving on to her other listed items. She'd love to have something new and fictitious to read, to wind her down after a exhausting day. She just turned the corner to exit the stacks when she ran straight into a body. The girl was knocked onto her backside and the books tumbled out of her arms.
