Who cared if it was frowned upon to venture into London and interact with muggles? Certainly not Isis, that's who--at least not after a long day at work she wanted to unwind from by doing something she'd never done before, to go somewhere new even if it was still in her own backyard in all reality. So, even if she was sure she still smelled like beer (having beer spilled down your shirt did that, and she might have changed, but no amount of skin scrubbing could do that--not without the luxury of a shower, and frankly, Isis didn't want to go to the manor and risk being cornered by her parents to go do something with them.
After trying to convince a co-worker to go with her unsuccessfully, the former Hufflepuff had decided to make the venture on her own, so she had headed for the Leaky Cauldron. Its wizarding owners may have long departed since the takeover (though certainly wizarding folk did still work here, Isis speculated), but the pub was still running strong. After she made it out from the alley way behind the pub, she began venturing along the sidewalk, her eyes wide with amazement as she watched a car rush by. And what were those silly people doing talking to themselves and to those little boxes in their hands? Maybe the Williams regime was right in saying muggles were crazy. Maybe she ought to turn around..... But no, she'd come too far to turn back. She was going to see what this segregated muggle world was about, so pushing her shoulders back and standing tall, she resumed walking despite having no real destination in mind. She'd go wherever she ended up.
