Casey Winslow, Trevor Williams = Me
Morgana Calloway = Layni
Evie Winslow, Velda Harris = Summer
Sunday, Dec. 17, 2000
Another week, another night, another nightmare, another day, ad here Casey Winslow was again, sitting at the bar of The Three Broomsticks, downing his third firewhiskey. Over the past month or so, his tolerance had gone slightly up, but nevertheless he was still well on his way to being out of it again. If he had had enough of his wits bout him when he'd woke up, he'd have realized that today was the day he and Evie were supposed to be going out with Trey to this very pub. Yet, he hadn't, and here he was now, getting drunk to forget about his problems, his nightmares. The week away with Evie had gone as well as could be expected; they'd worked through some of the issues, but the root of their problems still existed, and he was losing it all -- patience, temper, tolerance...all of it was slipping away so fast.
---
Meanwhile, back at Hogwarts, Trevor was quickly throwing on some casual clothing, checking to make sure he looked like the headmaster, and he came out of his room, pulling on a jacket as he walked down the steps and over to the other set and up them over to the Winslow room. He had to keep reminding himself this was at least better company than spending it with those little brats that didn't have a Hogsmeade weekend this time. He stepped up to the door, knocking on it to the cadance of 'Shave and a Haircut,' waiting for one or both of them to open the door.
Evie was just finishing with her bit of coverup when Trey knocked on the door, she set the powder back in her makeup bag and put it away, checking herself in the mirror- making sure nothing was out of place and what not- and walked to the door, opening it and giving the headmaster a small smile
"Hello," she said opening the door all the way so he could step inside if he wished
"Afternoon," Trey answered, returning Evie's smile and stepping inside after saying, "May I?" He looked around the place, wondering where Casey was. The way he'd had him acting the last time, he'd have figured Casey would have made sure he was the one to answer the door or something. The place looked nice enough around here, definitely like any other family's with its own unique bout of color...most colorful place he'd ever seen. Black suited his purposes or white with black accents. But, that was just him. Apparently these people loved color.
"So, you and your husband ready?" he asked, leaning against a wall near the door, hands in his pockets.
"Of course" Evie answered when he asked to come inside, leaving the door and walking over to grab her coat from the coat rack and putting it on, hearing Trey ask about Casey "actualy...I havent seen Casey all day, he was gone when I woke up this morning" she said pulling her hair out from the colar of the coat once she had it on
"That's...peculiar," Trey answered. What on earth was he supposed to do now? He had everything all set up with Morgana...the time, that she'd be working that day, that both Winslow's would be there. Dagnamit! Well, his only hope for any form of success this day would be if Casey had gone to The Three Broomsticks already and was getting drunk or was planning to meet them there. "Where do you think he might have gone? Not usual for him to leave before saying good morning to you, is it?"
"Well, no..." Evie said, she really didnt think anything of it, that he just forgot and went flying or had to go get something for class "but he's probably out tracking some dark creature for a class lesson..."
Trevor put on a smile, nodding. "Always dedicated, that man. He'll probably meet us there. Maybe we should just go and see?" He wasn't quite sure if he could get her to do it, as if things had gone as planned that night a week or so ago, then Casey would have been extremely jealous, expressed some sort of concern, and depending on how she reacted to that, she may or may not be keen on coming with him right now when her husband wasn't there.
Evie looked back into their room for a moment thinking it over. Casey wasnt exactly to fond of Trey for what ever reason but she did have plans with him and he knew that. She turned her attention back to Trey, giving a small smile "yes, anyways he'll know where to find us"
The plan was far in motion. Things were going so well Morgana could not have been more excited. Casey had been here, the nightmares had been getting worse. Her Lord had been sending him more frequent visions of her in various state that would drive a man insane and, to top it all of, the Darklord had started sending them as daydreams as well. Morgana smirked as she put on a light red gloss coating on her lips and looked down at the two bottles in front of her. Her own mix. Temporary mind wipe and desire inducing poition. Tastes like butter beer. She had brewed it with the butterbeer to have it blend it. From previous experiances she knew her customer was picky with his drinks. He wouldn't spot this. Only drink it and look at her. The effect would be immediate. Visions of her from the dreams counted as desire, the mind block would counter Evie for just long enough, she would use an invisibility spell on the ring and BAM...one destroyed marriage and pictures for the press. Velda of course had been more than happy to help for once...
Morgana swallowed down the last of her veela potions and took the tainted drink out to Casey with a bright smile and a sigh. "A bit early to start, but knowing you I thought you'd be needing another about now..."
"Yeah, well, you don't have to deal with my wife, nightmares..." Casey answered, letting out a sigh as he took the butterbeer, raising the mug to her before taking a long swig and setting the glass down. The effects of her potion were indeed instantaneous. He recalled there being some attraction he'd had before because of her beauty, but for some reason, it seemed today he couldn't quite control himself, where his eyes wandered...Maybe he should just go, be safer that way, make sure he didn't do something incredibly stupid. But, he found he didn't exactly want to go.
---
Trevor smiled and nodded, stepping out the door so she could do whatever she perhaps needed to do last minute or lock up, waiting for her to finish with that until beginning to walk down the stairs towards the exit from the common room. "So...how's your day been so far? Little one at his grandma's?"
The first effects would of course be desire, what else would hit that fast. The memory would take a few minutes and that is why she would have to manage herself carefully. The wrong moment and this would all be over, she was confident she would time it right though. She was good at reading men and this potion of hers would make it all too obvious. For now though all she could do was fan the flames of disaster as best she could. Morgana smiled as he set down the glass and lowered her lashes slightly before leaning down to grab a rag and wipe off the table. She leaned low and reached where she could without moving before turning and bending down again to grab some silverwear and setting a few of the tables dropping silverwear where she could without making it look like she was doing it on purpose. The perfect preformance. She sighed with relief as she turned and walked towards the bar again sweeping dangerously close to her target before going through the gate to her side of the counter. She smiled in his direction adding her signature element of seduction to her smile as she looked at him.
"Ready for another?"
Casey couldn't help but watch as she moved about...the way her hips moved, how her shirt fell and revealed more to him as she bent over to pick up silverware, other views. That he was married seemed to have slipped his mind or he just didn't care, depended on whose point of view one was watching from. He himself because of the potion had forgotten it, and that his thumb was playing with the ring around his left ring finger wasn't exactly anything of consequence. He barely realized he was doing it, it was habit more than not. When she came back, he returned the smile, nodding. "If you wouldn't mind."
The response was as expected of course. The timing was going as planned. She leaned down and took out two butterbeers with a smile and took off the apron around her waist, revealing just how short the skirt she was wearing really was, before turning the corner and sitting in the stool next to him. She opened up the drinks and sighed with relief as she took out her hair from the ponytail it was in, shaking it out and allowing it to flow down past her face and shoulders. She smiled in his direction and took a swing of her drink before looking in his eyes for a minute. If he wasn't drunk by this one she could stall for one more. The plan would go on. If she needed to all she had to do was say and Trevor would stall slightly for time. Evie, she was sure, would go along with it.
"Don't mind if I join you this time. I get a few hours break until my next shift and decided I could use a drink."
"Oh, no, no, of course not," Casey answered, watching as she sat down, trying to control his eyes. Even if he couldn't remember his marriage at this point in time, he felt he shouldn't be checking her out quite yet. Maybe it was being too obvious, and he was never one to be that obvious. He took a sip of the new drink to forces his eyes to remove themselves from her for those brief moments, setting the mug back down. "Must be quite tiring, your job...on your feet all day, walking around and taking orders, delivering them..." What was he doing? Trying to hit on her? Well, didn't matter, did it? No reason not to, after all. He was unattached.
---
Trevor continued on his way down the hill from the school to The Three Broomsticks. They were almost there by this point, and they'd been chatting about this and that and the other. He kept his eyes out for Casey as he neared The Three Broomsticks. He wanted to make sure that that man was going to show up, after all. Maybe he was already there. He hoped he was already there.
Morgana smiled and sighed quietly looking down at the bottle and then back up to him, giving him a look specifically designed to make men weak, and if not weak, hungry as all hell, and if they were already that, well, it would make them do things that were not necisarily the norm now would it. She took a sip of her drink and looked back at him, straight into his eyes. He was trying not to be obvious but she knew the potion would say otherwise. She smiled encouragingly not paying any attention at all as his ring turned invisible.
"It is hard. It can be tiring and rough to say the least having to deal with some of the customers, sitting around listening to peoples lives and not having anyone give you a second glance. To tell you the truth I look forward to when you come in. You talk to me as if I were maybe more than a girl behind a bar, that's something I really could get used to. Then again there are a lot of things I could get used to."
Morgana blushed slightly, silently commanding Trevor to hold off for a few more minutes, as she moved a little closer to Casey, leaning her elbow on the bar and propping her head on her hand looking up at him suggestively.
Evie locked up the door to their room and began walking down the hall, stairs, corridor and then the grounds with Trey, talking with him and laughing a few times at what ever it was that was being said. It was hard for Evie to believe that Trey wasn't involved with anyone, he was charming, kind, sweet, very good looking, alot of things girls look for in a guy..a great catch to anyone and yet he still didn't have anyone. All well, guess the 'nice guys finish last' statement was true enough in this case.
Sooner than what she would have liked they were at the village entrance. She sighed, stuffing her hands in her pockets
"Trey, I never got a chance to thank you for giving us that time off...We really needed it, even helped us settle some things..." Evie looked down, kicking a rock that was in her way "thanks.."
Morgana's smile certainly disarmed him and his eyes scanned over her again as she took a sip of her drink, quickly averting them to her face as she set the mug down and looked him in the eyes, squirming slightly. It was beginning to get to him in more ways than one. He wanted to do a bit more than talk, but he couldn't exactly do that, not yet. He took a sip of his drink quickly to give himself something to do.
"Yeah, well...you know, I try..." he said as suavely as he could manage at the moment, which came out a bit forced. He watched as she seemed to blush and move closer to him. He noticed the suggestive look on her face and kept his eyes on her, them sort of shifting slightly as he looked over her face, not really paying attention to the fact that his body was leaning slightly closer to her slowly until his lips met with hers. Even for him, this felt like he was moving too fast, much too fast, but he couldn't resist her charm anymore. Way he saw it, he'd been battling it for so long now. It was time to give in. Besides, she hadn't exactly discouraged it, now, had she?
---
Trevor rose a brow as she looked down and kicked that rock, sticking his own hands in his pockets casually as he lowered his brow. Somewhat quietly, he answered, "Well, after all the things you told me, it was the least I could do. I hated seeing you like that...so sad. I'm glad I could assist you."
Evie looked up -like people do when a sudden thought had just hit them- but continued walking, not wanting to make him think something was wrong...Was?...No, that was just silly. Evie shrugged it off, looking up and turning her attention back to her walking companion, giving him a small smile
"That emotion is becoming all to familiar I’m afraid"
Part one of three going perfectly. She moved off her hand and the signs of a kiss started to show up and as his lips met hers she slowly lifted her hand to slide behind his neck and her other arm to wrap around his back. She of course could be considered an expert on this particular pursuit for the number of times she had to do it for work purposes and she knew that this would not end anytime soon between her potion and her additional merits. Morgana had to say, for a woman who had no intention of actually falling for the man she was kissing, she was doing an amazing job feigning passion and he was buying right into it.
Now for the kill...
She pulled away for a moment, slightly breathless and smiled with a faint blush. "I've been waiting for that longer than you know..." She smiled and leaned in once again kissing him in a way that almost surpassed passionate. If this didn't get him she didn't know what would besides a love potion and she hated using those.
Casey was breathless as she pulled away from him, hearing her words, nodding slightly, body language showing that really hadn't been enough for him, even if he was trying to restrain himself. He didn't understand this sudden flourish of hormone-induced, teenage-like behavior, but it seemed to have seized him, and he couldn't exactly shake it. He wanted Morgana deeply, madly, passionately...So, when she resumed the kiss, more passionately than he knew possible at the moment, he was more than pleased, more than into it, even if he was finding himself wishing to go further, move faster. A hand made its way to the side of her face, the other slightly near her stomach, but still near her ribcage, standing from his stool to move closer to her, deciding leaning in such a manner was taking too much effort at the moment.
---
"Hey now," Trevor said, stopping in his tracks just a few yards from the door into The Three Broomsticks, hand moving as though he wanted to bring it to her face or something to comfort her, but as though he was fighting it off and thereby not doing it (had to show some interest, after all, right? It was very possible that either after this little incident or very soon after she decided she'd had enough, their goal would be achieved and his mission complete, though he figured to wait for the killing til it was advantageous, for if she managed to escape...), "where's that large grin now? Things will get better; I know they will."
Evie stopped when Trey spoke, hands still in her pockets she turned a little to face him, eyes watching him bring a hand up but hesitate…Ok, so this was new. Not something Evie really knew how to deal with, Trey knew she was married, knew her husband, her son…Even if Casey and her were having problems. He… no! no, no, no he was just being a friend, just trying to help.. Evie swallowed a little as his hand came closer only to watch him pull it away, herself letting out the breath she had been holding in involuntary. Evie managed to give him a bit of a smile, it growing a little more the longer she held it
"Your right, everything will be fine"
Any second now it would all come together. She would say go and Evie would walk in. Perfection. He wouldn't even realize what was going on. She had made the potion long enough to last at least a day. Probably more and the fact that she would trace him with it for as long as she needed was easy enough. Not that it mattered now. All that mattered was that she keep him going like this which wasn't taking much effort. She kept going as if she actually wasn't thinking about other things and he didn't seem to be noticing much of anything besides the fact that she was supposedly highly enjoying this. Morgana, continuing to kiss him, pulled him a little closer to her as she was practically lying on the counter at this point by the time he shifted and she shifted as things went.
Wait for it....
"Yep...so, let's go on in, then? Maybe he'll be here waiting for us," Trevor answered, walking over to the door, hoping that Morgana had whatever she had planned in motion, if Casey was even here. He really had no clue where the man was, and it had him frustrated. He held the door open for Evie, coming in behind her.
---
Casey seemed to realize she was practically laying down and that they were in a public place as his hand felt the countertop. No, no, no, no, no...had to at least show some decency, even if he was feeling like he could barely control himself at the moment. He managed to make himself pull away slightly, eyes looking over her face even if it was rather close to his. "Maybe...maybe we should," he brought his lips back to hers for a few seconds, hand wandering from the counter top to Morgana's side, thumb sort of over her stomach, toying with the edge of her shirt. Should find a room, he finished as he pulled away again, keeping his eyes on her. Anyone who took one look at them would notice they were glazed over with desire, passion.
Perfect timing. She would be peeled off the counter, still kissing him, just as she walked in. Morgana smiled and ran her hand down his face and neck letting rest on his chest as she nodded slightly, her other arm still around his neck making it easy for him to help her up without making him break the lip lock they had established. She smiled and kissed him again. This would be perfect, and all over the news. The camera's had been filming the whole time practically. Velda came in handy, eager of course for her share of the glory.
Evie gave another smile, walking through the door as Trey held it for her, her head turned back so she was looking at him while she said something not of great importance back to him. It was emptier than usual but it still was early in the afternoon and the students were all back at the castle so it wouldn’t be expected. But, the moment her feet hit the small greeting mat next to the door Evie stopped dead in her tracks at what she saw.
Casey…with another woman; practically on top of her, in plain sight for anyone to see! her anger filled eyes wandered over what they were doing. How close they were, how into it they were…
He hadn’t shown that much passion or desire to her in such a long time. Sure, they still had their spark but nothing like..like that. And here he was giving it all too some other woman! As her eyes moved from the suggestive position they were in, following his hand when he brought it from the counter top to rest at this girls side Evie noticed something was missing. Something that should have been there, that she thought belonged there! He even had the damn nerve to take off his wedding ring!
So this is where he had been running off to? For how long? How many times before, how many others where there, how many children did he really have?
Her mouth hung open slightly as sound tried to emit from the dry parted lips. Evie’s throat was dry and speech didn’t seem possible at the moment, thinking didn’t even seem possible as her mind took in all she was seeing.
Breathing was becoming very hard, her chest was tight and her knees felt like they were going to buckle from under her. This, this couldn’t be happening, it wasn’t real. A dream, yes that’s it, its all just some bad dream, some horrible nightmare that she didn’t wake from. But, it wasn’t a dream and Evie knew that; what kind of dream would be this horrible?
She was glued to the spot, a trembling hand reaching out to the wall for support. This hurt more than anything she had ever felt or ever will feel.
"Ca-Casey," she said quietly, as the other woman smiled and kissed him again. "Casey!" Evie yelled at him out of anger after witnessing this, her blood boiling, finding her voice after all. She wondered if he’d even hear her, or if he was to busy otherwise. She didnt hear the words that were exchanged but she didnt need to, it was obvious what was going to happen, and by the looks of things it happend before
Trevor stopped, nearly bumping into him as he looked up from whatever she said to him, smiling, but he made sure his smile faded to a look of disbelief (though inside he was more than happy Winslow boy had taken the bait). Just how did Morgana do it? He'd have to talk to her later. Now, there was a hurt wife to tend to, comfort, help...however she needed him to help her. He remained quiet and stood off to the side by the doorway, making himself look as though he felt out of place, even if he was really enjoying the show. He'd have to give Morgana a clap on the back. Yes, she was very skilled, very skilled indeed. To think he'd ever doubted her. Ah well. Past wrongs would be righted, he figured.
---
Casey pulled away when he heard some woman call his voice. His hand remained where it was on her as he helped her up, glancing over in the direction of the voice, blinking to try to regain his composure. The woman seemed hurt...looked hurt, angry, distraught, and he couldn't for the life of him place who the hell she was. He stared blankly at her without any recognition for a moment, glancing over at Morgana as though trying to figure out if he should speak to this woman or continue up to the room he'd just proposed they go and occupy. He felt he really ought to try to place this woman, though, figure out why she was so angry. Was she one of those psycho-ex types that he'd had but couldn't recall having because he'd blocked it out of his mind?
He chewed his lip back for a second before glancing from the blonde-haired woman to the black-haired one, deciding it would be rude to ignore her. Besides, with as much passion as he and Morgana had had, they'd be able to pick it up afterwards, wouldn't they?
"Umm...yes...?" he asked quietly, still trying to place this woman's face. It seemed so familiar, yet not at the same time. Oy, he felt a headache coming on as the wheels in his brain turned, trying to figure out who she was.
"How could you!?" Evie demanded to know, everything else forgotten. Any people around them, where they were, Trey…all she knew was herself, and the confused looking couple before her. "How could you do this to me after all these years?!!" she screamed, tears of anger begining to stream from her eyes
Moragana managed to keep to her act as the door opened and he helped her up from the compromising position on the counter. She of course looked shocked and embaressed working up a good blush and straightening herself out a bit despite the fact that she was still compleatly obvious as to her previous actions and holding onto Casey. She looked wide eyed from one to the other and when 'the woman' started the how could you speech she looked over at Casey with a little bit of a worried and almost curious glance and whispered quietly. "Casey, do...do you know her?"
Casey stared blankly at the distraught woman for a few moments, blinking stupidly. "Years? What? I swear, I don't know who she is, Morgana. Who the hell are you? How do you know my name?" The woman was certainly pretty in his eyes, no denying that, but hadn't he just allied himself with this one beside him? He couldn't juggle two women, no way.
---
Trevor watched the scene, fighting back laughter at Casey's clueless, dumb look, but he managed to keep a straight face, one disturbed and deeply concerned. He walked over to Evie, making sure not to touch her. Didn't want to be the one to initiate laying a hand on her at the moment. After all, it could only lead to suspicion of alterior motives on his part from her, and he didn't need that. "Come on, Evie," he said gently. "You don't have to listen to this." He gave Casey a look of disgust and shook his head, looking back to Evie. "Despicable, Winslow, hurting your wife like this.."
---
Wife? What on earth was this man talking about? Casey's face became even more confused and lost, if that was at all possible.
Well, Velda had a few angles she could take this at now: him with amnesia not finding his way back to his wife's arms or the more juicy story of a long, on-going affair. If only Casey knew, realized....
The tears couldnt be held back anymore with Casey clueless act. Why was he doing this to her? Now she knew that when he tried to leave her last time was true, why didnt she see it? Why did she believe him when he said he was sorry, that he didnt mean it...And now, at the beginning of this year when he went off on her for not trusting him. Acusing him of cheating....Voldemort was right, he was right all along, how could she be so blind?
Don't play games with me! she yelled again, tears streaming down her face. This clueless act was getting old quick "How could you do this to your son!?"
she needed to get out of there, the room was spinning, her chest felt like it was going to explode. She needed to run, run away from all of this. Before he could answer Evie turned and left the pub, pushing the door open and running out into the street, she kept running all the way to the shrieking shack until she stopped and let her knees buckle. Sitting on the ground with her legs out of the side and her face burried deep into her hands as she cried
Morgana looked shocked and afraid as the woman broke down, even though it was the most satisfactory moment of her carrer. She held on to Casey and when the woman had left she of course moved a little closer putting a comforting hand on his shoulder. Now to sever ties she would just have to keep him occupied, comfort him if he was tramatized, shouldn't be too hard. Worst case senario all she had to do was slip him some more to drink, perfect in a situation such as this and continue on. She just couldn't do it when Trevor was still here. She looked at him sorrowfully and nodded her head towards the door as if asking him to help her. She was after all the compassionate woman as everything was about to prove. "Casey are you alright?"
Trevor glanced over at Morgana for a moment, making sure to keep that look of disbelief/disgust upon his face as he did so in case Casey was staring off at the door or him or something, but it seemed he was already looking back at the woman. He gave her a discreet 'thumb's up' and walked off after Evie, taking his time so as to give her space for a little while. Finally, he made it to the Shrieking Shack after searching just about everywhere else. He looked about, finding Evie on the ground outside, crying, completely in pieces. He normally would do nothing to help such a woman, would normally say she did it to herself, but that wasn't who the character he'd made up was.
Concerned look on his face, he squatted beside her, cautiously as though uncertain placing his hand on her shoulder. Evie? he said gently.
---
Casey nodded, brows meeting as a result of the confusion that showed on his face. "What was she talking about? Son? How I could do this to her...I don't get it. I don't remember her, honestly." He brought blue eyes that shone with confusion to Morgana's face. Obviously, this had sort of killed the mood.
Morgana sighed and forced a small smile while looking at Casey with innocent wide eyes. She kissed him gently and looked him in the eyes trying her best to 'comfort' him from the trauma the strange woman had caused. "You couldn't have if you don't remember her. The only way you could forget something like that is if it happened when you were drunk and I can safely say i'm one of maybe two woman who sees you like that regularly. Besides, its not like you have a ring on right now. I believe you in any case. I'll bring some drinks upstairs and if you want you can clear your head and i'm here with you no matter the case."
"Go away" Evie said in a meek, quite voice as Trey kneeled beside her, moving her shoulder away from his hand. She just wanted to be alone, wanted to come to terms with this…what she was going to do now, how this would effect Julian, fighting for full rights as his parent…She just wanted to curl up into a ball and shrink away
"Alright," Trevor replied calmly, standing and turning, looking back over his shoulder. "If you need someone to talk to, you know where to find me." And with that, he made his way up back to the castle. Even if he wanted a full report from Morgana, he figured she might still be busy making this a more permanent arrangement.
---
Casey listened closely to her words, clinging to each one, figuring this woman knew him well enough. I'd like that, he answered after a few moments of contemplation, beginning to make his way to the room upstairs, sitting down on the edge of the bed, legs spread over the edge, elbows on knees and body leaned forward, hands on the sides of his head. What on earth was going on? Why couldn't he remember this woman who was so convinced he'd either been with her for many years or been married to her for many years and that he had a son with her? Did he just look that much like her husband, perhaps? He wasn't a strong believer in dopplegangers, but all the same, he supposed it was possible.
Morgana smiled as she watched him walk upstairs. No one was in the bar considering she had managed to kind of set it aside for her own personal use today with her Lord's help. She walked behind the counter and pulled out a tray, humming to herself as she put on a few cold butterbeers, tainting one with the same potion to ensure that Casey wouldn't remember his wife. When she was done with him she doubted he would even recall the aptly named 'crazy woman...'
She made her way back upstairs with the tray of two drinks and knocked quietly on the door of the room she knew he would be in before entering with the tray. She set it down and picked one up before sitting down on the bed and handing it to him with a quiet smile.
Evie stayed there for Merlin knows only how long, crying, sobbing, yelling off into the hills around her. Slowly she stood, face red and tear stained from crying. Her mind was blank to much going on at one time to grasp it all. Slowly her feet moved her to the castle, face kept down as she walked past anyone in the halls, avoiding anyone that dared speak to her.
Before she knew really what she was doing Evie took her hand away from the door she just knocked on. –Treys room- and stood back. She shouldn’t be here but she needed someone to talk to. Ginny, Serena, John…she couldn’t talk to any of them, they would just tell her something was up..But Trey was there, he understood, he knew
When Morgana came in, Casey looked up, sitting up and running a hand through his hair as he pushed himself to lean against the headboard of the bed, taking the drink from her with a, Thank you. He took a sip from his butterbeer, moving a pillow to be more comfortable behind him and leaned his head back against the headboard.
"Don't happen to have anything for a headache, do you? Been thinking too hard..." His mind wasn't on the possible things she could choose other than some potion or medicine at the moments. He was still trying to wrap his mind around possibly having a son. Had he ever been so drunk he could have been with some woman? He didn't recall, couldn't recall. It was as though there was some barrier in his brain he couldn't break through, blocking off quite a large section of his life.
---
Trevor was sitting at his desk, working on some necessary things such as letters to be delivered to his lord, filled with double meanings. At the sound of a knock on his door, he looked up and over at it. He hadn't changed his looks, had left them as they were just in case Evie decided to come. He quickly hid his letter in a hidden compartment in his lowest desk drawer, standing from his chair and walking over to it, opening the door, seeing Evie's face and giving a concerned look.
She looked horrible to him, utterly distraught. Stupid woman brought it upon herself by joining his lord, by causing all those fights, letting them keep up. That was how he saw it, seeing as he had no real clue as to what Morgana had done to get that, or even if Casey had been completely stoned. But, the man had seemed fairly well oriented for having been so into snogging Morgana.
The words that came out of his mouth and the concerned look on his face were complete opposite of his thoughts, however. He moved from the door so she could step in, keeping his hand on the knob to close it behind her after she came in, figuring she'd want privacy more than the accountability leaving the door open would provide. Her mind probably wasn't even on that at the moment. "Evie, come in. How are you doing? Can I get you anything...?"
Evie looked up once the door was opened, using her sleeve to wipe her eye. She probably looked like a train wreck at the moment but why did that matter anymore? She stepped in to the room when he stepped aside, shaking her head. Looking around for somewhere to sit Evie sat on the edge of a nearby chair, hands in her lap and looking down
"How could I have been to stupid? I believed him, believed him everytime he said he didnt…."
Morgana sighed and sat down leaving the other drink on the table and moving so that she was at an angle so that she would have full access to his back. She forced a small, almost weary smile and lightly massaged his back figuring if she didn't use anymore potions today it would probably be for the best and that he would get over it soon enough. She moved her hands up to his neck and started working there, relieving all the natural tensions she could before working on the rest of his back.
"Not on me. Sorry, this is the best I can do right now...Just try to relax and i'm sure the whole thing will blow over..."
Casey relaxed under Morgana's touch, let her continue to work on his back, letting his neck fall how it wanted or rolling it to the side to try to relax those muscles as she worked elsewhere on his back." I just hope it's sooner rather than later. If she keeps that up, I might just have to move."
---
Trevor closed the door and pulled the chair out from his desk, bringing it over in front of the chair she had, the back of the seat facing towards her, his legs on either side of it and arms crossed on top of it, chin resting on it. "He had us all fooled, Evie. I never would have thought it possible of him either, but guess he managed to learn how to lie somewhere down the line...got a taste of freedom and wanted to keep it."
Morgana smiled slightly and continued to work on his back as much as she could for the time being. She knew he would forget soon enough. She moved her hands a little lower on his back continuing to attempt to work out a few kinks here and there to make it seem that she was attempting to do some good. "I'm sure the worst is over and you'll probably never have to deal with her again. For now there is nothing for you to do but try to relax and forget all about what happened."
She sniffled a few times, using the back of her hand to wipe the sides of her face. How could this be happening to her? Why was it happening, didn’t she have enough things to deal with, hadn’t she suffered enough? "I don’t understand Trey. After everything… How could he do this? How could he act like he didn’t know who I was, that he didn’t have a wife and a son…" as Evie continued she began to cry once more, putting her head lower "What would drive a person to do that? Why?"
"I guess you're right," Casey admitted, continuing to relax beneath her touch. The potions she'd spiked his drink with were still in full effect, especially considering that she'd given him another dosage of them. He felt compelled to return home, that if he stayed here, considering he'd been drinking, it'd not be wise at all. Morgana might get more than she bargained for. But, he had a problem: he couldn't remember where home was, like there was as much of a block to that as to who that black-haired crazy lady who said he had a son was. Damn drinking. Kept everything from him, had to be what it was...he was too drunk. But, then, why was the world still fairly stable and his talking not rambling? Joy.
---
Trevor watched, keeping a sympathetic, listening face on, inhaling and shaking his head while exhaling slowly. "I don't know, Evie. I just don't know. Those are things you'd have to ask him, and considering earlier, I think it's best you avoid him for a little while til you get things straightened out in your mind. Might be better for the both of you."
He knew Evie would probably not listen, and he felt that maybe, just maybe, this would work out to their advantage. If she was angry enough when she saw Casey, if he could keep that anger flowing and growing, maybe she would boil over, try to kill her husband who was, at least til he was drugged? (After all, how else could she have got him? Judging by what she'd said at Puddifoot's), completely faithful. Casey was no dummy; he'd figure out what had happened in his mind, but Trevor knew Evie wouldn't believe him, not in the state she was in right now, anyway, so he wasn't too worried.
"I could try to logic your husband's actions out, but there is no explanation that makes it right. He's stupid to have ruined things with you, but he did it to himself. It's not your fault. He chose to do this with no consideration for you. It's his fault."
"I don’t want to see him, I don’t want to look at him ever again! I’ll kill him if I do" Evie said angrily through her tears, fist balling up, she didn’t have magic last time this came up (even if he said it was all lies) and could only do so much damage. Just a hit to the jaw and that was it. Now, now she had her wand and the know how to kill him, how to use the curse what would happen… And if Casey dared come around her Evie didn’t know what she would do. She didn’t want to use it but, with the way she was now there was no telling what would happen
Trevor nodded as though contemplating and agreeing with her words. For her to kill Casey was precisely what Trevor wanted...for her to run to him, totally wreck their marriage, maybe even let them have at it, and he could show up, take one out after the other sent a killing spell at the other. It was simple, so simple, to finish this sting operation for his lord. "You won't have to see him, not if you don't want to. We'll simply move...Trelawny over next to him or send him to sit with the Slytherins -- your choice-- for meals, and you won't have to see him between classes. Now, there's just the matter as to where you will sleep. We could go over and move his things out, if you'd like. Trash it, burn it....And then there's the matter of your son. Are you going to leave him at his grandma's to have Casey come and pick him up or are you going to get him yourself?"
Evie listened to Treys words, they all sounded like good ideas. Get rid of everything of his, all reminders of Casey. Get him out of her life. But, wait, she’d almost forgot about Julian in all of this. Casey couldn’t get Julian, couldn’t see him. No way in hell after he seemed to forget that he had a son, if he would even go get him after that. "I want him gone...for good, out of the castle, out of my life my sons life. I don’t want any reminders of him. Casey wont see Julian at all as long as I'm around..."
Trevor had to hold back the fact that she would be reminded about Casey for the rest of her life because of her son, even if she did manage to get full custody of the kid. And then, if he knew anything about grandparents, they'd want to come around and visit, no matter what. So, there'd be that reminder, as well. Depending on the family, they'd either leave the topic of Casey alone or they'd bring it up. But, seeing as he had no clue about the Winslow family on that branch, he couldn't decide. "I'm afraid I can't fire him, unfortunately, as he's done nothing wrong in his job (unless you know of something, Evie), but perhaps if you try for a restraining order, you could make it so he couldn't talk to you or your son or get near you?"
Evie shook her head "A piece of paper wont stop him Trey. Either he leaves or I leave." she stopped and inhaled, slowly letting it out, shaking her head again and looking up as she did before looking at Trey "I’m sorry…I cant put this on you" Evie took another deep breath, wiping the remaining tears from her face before pushing herself up and out of the chair. She was done crying for now, now all that was left was a hallow feeling, burning hatred, but Evie had to take care of things first before she could let herself break down. She was never one to just sit back and wallow in her sorrows, Evie hated that, that time came and went and now it was time to take care of things "I..I need to get Julian, take him to a friends place before I do anything. Casey can’t have him, and I need to make sure he’s safe before Casey decides to come looking for his things.."
"You can, Evie; I don't mind," Trevor answered, letting out a sigh as she stood, standing himself, walking his chair back over to the desk and scooting it in, listening to her go on about needing to get her son and what she wanted to do and such, nodding. "I'll be here when you get back, if you still need to talk...unless you need me to come with you." Personally, he wondered what friend she would leave him with? Not knowing about Fred and George and all, he decided to offer, "I can watch him if you ever need me to."
Of course, he wasn't super fond of kids, especially any that weren't his, which...so far, were all kids, but all the same, he had to seem like he actually cared, and for the sake of the mission, he'd put up with it if he had to. Anything to gain her trust and truly ruin the marriage.
"Thank you, but, I think I should do this alone.." Evie started, turning to head for the door but stopping, turning back around so she was looking back at Trey. Eyes burning from crying so much, and the air that was hitting them causing her to blink a few times to get rid of it and what ever tears remained "But, talk would be nice after" she said quietly at his offer of being there to talk. Standing there for a moment before turning and walking out of the door and to the fireplace in the main part of the room, taking a handful of floo and flooing to Casey’s parents to get Julian
----
It wasn’t until late night when she returned, having picked up Julian (thank Merlin Casey’s dad was there watching him while his mum was out. Mark wouldn’t ask questions, at least to her with his still somewhat sour attitude toward Evie) and taken him over to Fred and George’s flat. At first Evie was going to take Julian to Molly and Arthur’s but that would probably be the first place Casey would look if he wanted to, and Fred and George would probably be close to last on his list next to her parents. And this way the twins wouldn’t let Casey in after what Evie told them.
This was never what she wanted, to hide her son like this if it ever came down to the marriage ending. But, after Casey seemed to ‘forget’ that he had a son Evie wasn’t going to let Casey see him, wasn’t going to let Casey leave Julian somewhere while he ran off to go meet one of his women. Before she wouldn’t think so low of Casey, knew he would take care of his son but now, now she didn’t want him anywhere near. If she had any say in things he wouldn’t be around the boy at all.
When she arrived back at the common room she was crying again but not as pronounced as before. The talk she had with her two friends brought on more tears when she explained what happened to them. Fred and George needless to say tried to comfort her, offered she stayed there with them for awhile but she had things to take care of here.
One foot up, down, then the other Evie began her climb up the stairs and to HER room. Stopping at the door with the Winslow name on the door. What was she going to do now? She wasn’t going to keep his name after this, once the divorce was settled Evie would go back to her maiden name. Julian could keep it, she couldn’t take that from him but she wouldn’t. Her ring, she had planned to keep it this time instead of throw it at the bastard like last time, give it to Jules when he proposed to some girl. Maybe he would have better luck with it than she did…
Evie gripped the brass door handle to their room and took a deep breath, turning the knob and pushing the door open, taking a step inside, and another, another and another until her legs hit the foot of the bed they once shared. It made her sick to think that he had been with others while with her (so she was lead to believe with the current events) and the longer she stood there, looking over all the reminders of Casey, all the pictures, his clothes that were on the floor, the smell of his cologne, his shoes…Evie’s eyes welled with tears again and she let out a few sobs, sitting on the bed and bringing her legs up, hugging her knees to her chest and wrapping her arms around them and resting her forehead on her knees. How could he do this to her?! Why?! She knew she wasn’t making things easy for him this year, was being stubborn with the Death Eater business but this? Was this his way of getting back at her? How long had this been going on, how many, what if he had more children than just Julian...? There was no way he could talk his way out of this one, not when she’d seen it, walked in on him. He couldn’t lie to her and come tell her he loved her and only her. Not anymore!
She completely forgot about Trey, at least he was here to help her, was willing to help her, tried to comfort her, offered to take Julian if she needed. She was a bit sketchy of his motives after what happened today before they walked into the pub, almost certain he had more than friends in mind but after this? It was too soon and he at least seemed to know that. The others would think she was over reacting, try to assure her that Casey wouldn’t do such a thing. Yeah well, he did. She saw it with her own eyes! Heard him with her own ears ask who the hell she was, how she knew his name…Never did the possibility of him being drugged cross her mind.
Evie took a few deep breaths as she tried to calm herself down. Casey wasn’t worth crying over anymore…then why was she? Because she loved him that’s why, still did even after this and she scolded herself for it. He didn’t love her anymore, he couldn’t after that.
The more she tried to calm herself the more she cried, it felt like he killed her, over and over again. Every word of “I love you” “don’t you trust me?” “I would never do that to you” it all felt like a fresh stab to the gut as she thought about each time he said that to her….
This was perfect! Just perfect. Velda watched from the wall where she was in her animagus form. They were both geniuses! She was to excited about this, much to excited, it had been to long since she had a good scandal on her hands and the Ministers affair with some muggle was all washed up now, but this, this was just what she needed to get back on top.
Of course this wasnt just for her own personal gain, Voldemort's to but at the moment every possible possibility of what angel she could look at this at was running through her mind. A few pictures, a few eye wittiness accounts and she was back in business.
Now, to seal the deal. When Casey and Morgana went up stairs she followed, crawling up to the window she made a small web and moved down the thread to get closer to the two, black spider just hanging there waiting for more
Morgana smiled slightly and sighed pulling him down slightly on the bed so she was laying next to him. She knew that by now the potion would be kicking in and it was time for phase two. He wouldn't know what had happened to him by the time he got up tomorrow. She looked at him, her eyes bright and shining, irresistable, and gently brushed his face.
"You just need to rest a little, take your mind off of things, i'm sure it was one time and she will never bother you again. You just need a distraction, something to keep your mind off of her..."
Casey smiled down at her, feeling her pull him down, propping himself up on his elbow/forearm as he looked down at her as she gave him her look and brushed his face with her hand, giving her a nod. Morgana was right, of course, and who was he to argue with her? "Mind off of whom?" he asked, smirking, bringing his hand to her shoulder.
Morgana smiled faintly and laughed under her breath knowing this would work out even more perfectly then she planned, after all things were playing right into her hands and Trevor didn't even know it was over yet...
She looked up at him, her eyes even brighter than before and ran her hand gently through his hair. "Exactly..." She leaned up slightly and kissed him passionatly knowing that he would follow.
Casey felt her hand run through his hair..not exactly his favorite thing, but all the same, the kiss that followed after surely made up for it to him, his hand finding the side of her face and his body shifting so he was over her slightly.
Morgana deepened the kiss slightly and then suddenly broke it off reaching over to the table and pulling out a white pill, compleatly fake, he didn't know that though, and taking a sip of the drink she had brought for herself. She leaned back over and kissed him again, a glimmer in her eye. "Just in case..."
Casey felt Morgana pull away, eyes opening to look at her and see if something was wrong, watching her take the white pill and hearing her say 'Just in case...,' it clicking what that was. But wait? Wasn't she supposed to take that religiously for a few weeks before it actually really took effect? Oh, it didn't matter, now, did it. For all he knew, she could have but had just forgotten to take it today. He continued their kiss when she kissed him, moving his hand down from the side of her face, down to her waist, playing with the hem of her shirt teasingly.
Morgana continued kissing him reaching down for a minute and playing the tease that she was slid her hand up under his shirt, keeping the other one on his back and moving her hips back so that her shirt would raise just enough to reaveal her whole stomach.
Casey felt the material of her shirt slip from beneath his hand, leaving it on bare skin, felt her hand slide up his shirt. Damn woman. It seemed like she knew just what she was doing. He let his own hand slide up the back of her shirt, fingers working to unhook her bra, position of his arm working her shirt up a little more. He left his hand at her back for the time being, though sliding it down to the small of her back, bringing his kisses to her neck.
Morgana leaned her head back and closed her eyes, doing a pretty thorough job of pretending to enjoy herself. He at least had some idea of how to read a girl. Should have a better idea after being married as long as he was. She had to say it wasn't that great, but it wasn't that bad either. She sped up her breathing and took her free hand letting it slide down his back to his side and down lower to his leg as he toyed with her bra.
Casey's breathing was steadily speeding up as he passionately kissed her neck, feeling her hand slide to her leg. What, was this her first time? He had to admit, he wasn't going all that fast, but all the same. He pulled away and he worked at sliding her shirt off and getting rid of it, finger flicking off a bra strap and then another, working the thing off, and then resuming kissing her, letting his lips and hands wander wherever they so pleased.
Morgana let him deal with her shirt and while he was working on that, she slipped his own off his body and threw it to the side letting him do what he wanted and playing along passionatly. She would stop him as she planned when the time was right..
Casey moved his hand down to her mini-skirt, slipping his thumb beneath the waistband of it and against her skin, stroking against her hip lightly with his thumb, bring his lips back to hers.
Morgana let him go on, she had to do as much of this as she could herself according to her lord. She moaned quietly against his lips and deeped the kiss and her hands found the waist of his pants and let let her fingers deftly work at the button.
If distract him from thinking about 'that girl' was what she'd wanted, she'd certainly accomplished it. He left his thumb as it was for the time being as his other hand worked at undoing the button of her skirt as well as it could.
Morgana smiled when she managed to undo his pants and noticing the trouble he was havin with her skirt she kissed him passionately and quick helped him to undo it. Almost time to put an end to this, not that he'd know she did...
As she worked on her button, he worked at working his pants off, bringing his hands back to her as he kicked the rest of the garment off, returning her kiss with just as much passion, letting his hand rest at her thigh, other at the side of her face.
Morgana smiled and kissed him as passionatly as she could when acting and then thought to herself that it was quite time to end this. The dream her lord would give him would do enough to make him think that things went as he wanted them to and she'd be there when he woke up which means it couldn't be a dream. She quietly cast a mental spell on him and watched him pass out in a deep sleep. She smiled to herself and slipped out of the rest of her clothes and then wrapped herself in most of the blanket and curled up next to him, positioning his arm so that it was around her.
She closed her eyes knowing that the next morning, thanks to her lord he would think they had actually had sex when he woke up and she'd be right there to confirm it. Phase one down...
