The former Malfoy manor had been restored especially for this event. True, it had only been abandoned for just under a year, but in that time, it had collected its fair share of dust. The mahogany banisters of the staircase leading upstairs from the grand foyer had been dusted and polished, and red and black ribbon twisted around it in decoration. The lighting as one entered was dim but bright enough to comfortably see. To the left was the entrance to the dining room, which had been magically expanded to encompass a large amount of people. Tables were on either side of the room with punch and various snacks. Alcoholic beverages were offered at a bar off to the corner. Red and black balloons floated around the room, tied to tables and chairs. Confetti was dashed on the black and red tablecloths on the round tables, and a centerpiece of black and red roses adorned every table as well as a couple candles--one red and one black.
House elves and servants alike had been busy all day with preparations. Some had been assigned to the foyer and the dining hall while others had been assigned to the kitchens to prepare the mass amount of food that was likely to be required. Trevor had been there most of the day, but others had overseen, which was all he cared. He much rather preferred staying in his office just off the flight of stairs on the second floor. He had come down on occasion and spouted out orders but rarely. As seven 'o clock rolled around, he'd headed home to change into his dress robes with the red vest, black robe and pants, black silk tie, and black dress shirt; a simple red mask adorned his face. He'd had his dress shoes shined and had made sure Evie was ready before leaving with her.
And now it was nine, and it was time for this party to begin. Trevor stood in the foyer greeting people, a few of the Imperium Guard discreetly around the place, armed and ready should there be an attempt on his life. They wore no uniform to make them stand out. Trevor had only agreed to their presence on Evie's insistence. Personally, he thought he could handle any attack, but that was just him, it seemed; apparently, she didn't want the father of her baby to be killed by some Order member who managed to polyjuice as someone or whatever. Rather obviously she knew nothing of his accomplishments while Voldemort was around, and that was how it would stay. He didn't quite know or care to find out how she would react to finding out he had been his top assassin (or that he had even been part of Voldemort's army for that matter. The less she knew about anything, the better.).
Putting on a slight smile, Trevor said out of the side of his mouth to Evie, "Ah, I think that's..."
((Grace, if you want to be in this thread, feel free to mention that they side-alonged with her or something. Hopefully Sienna will finish her bio soon for you to have someone to interact with, maybe.))
