So far, so good. The tracker was acting predictably at this point with the 'disguise' and the moving through the crowds, but in this case, predictable was good. If he was any kind of good he would have done exactly what he had to better blend in, although Cora had to admit she hadn't expected the Disillusionment Charm. That was a rather nice touch, and it was serving its purpose well. However, the Dark Lady was no rookie, and was still able to keep Teague mostly in her line of sight. When he reached into his pocket, Cora frowned slightly, unable to immediately see what he had, but her frown quickly turned into an amused smile as the sunlight glinted off the brass in his hand. Using her own gift against her? The hit-witch smirked; she hadn't thought the goof-ball tracker had that much cruelty in him.
But, admiration aside, the brass tracking device looked slightly different than it had when she had given it to him. It may have been the distance between them, but it looked as though Teague had done some modifications to the little device, probably to make it better suited to tracking instead of assassination. Taking a chance on assuming she knew what new abilities the beetle would have, she reached into her belt pouch and pulled out a small pair of scissors. Cutting a few strands of her hair, the Dark Lady put the scissors away and tied a single strand of her raven hair around the top of the fire-escape on the edge of the roof. She apparated to several other rooftops nearby and repeated the process before coming back to the original one to see what the tracker was doing. If her assumption was correct and the beetles tracked by following her scent (how appropriate for the bloodhound...), Teague would be led on a wild-goose chase across Diagon Alley. But if she had guessed wrong, well then. This was a game after all; risk was a given.
