Sofi snorted at the thought of the twins.
"Oh, yeah, those girls... good Quidditch players, ya ever hear that? I wonder if I can get 'em on the team... But yeah, they'd better bugger off, and right quick too, I don't want anyone seeing... er... that kinda thing..."
As they entered the kitchen and DC made his proclamation, Sofi snorted again, though this time with laughter.
"You make it sound like I was gone forever..." she muttered. Alexi, who had gotten to his feet at their entrance, laughed.
"Exactly what I was going to say, dear girl," he replied, then, before DC could act to stop him, grabbed Sofi from DC's shoulder and set her on her feet, his hands on her waist. He gently patted her up and down, carefully keeping his hands on her back, then glanced up at DC, amusement in his eyes.
"Well, she's still in one piece, at least... we were wondering what on earth you two could be up to, right, Orion?" He gave the genuinely confused Sofi a little squeeze before letting her go and pulling out a chair for her. "Oh, and about the cake... it was beginning to melt, so... we ate it. Alright, no we didn't; I put it back in the icebox. I'll get it, shall I?" The blond-haired boy gave her a small smile before turning away to get out plates and silverware.
Sofi, who was sitting down in her chair, nearly missed the seat as she lowered herself into it. Alexi was so... what was he? He was almost... flirting with her. Or was she just paranoid? Probably. Another result of the events upstairs, she guessed.
