He held her close and bent his head to whisper in her ear. He couldn't keep from grinning. Foxy grin? Most likely. "No worries, Gem, love...when we've graduated, you shall be locked away in our bedroom for at least a month, and I shall keep you there by force if need be...of course, to make sure you don't escape, I suppose that I too would need to be confined. What do you think, love...can you spare time together now for the promise of having me as your willing prisoner in the future?"
While he tempted and teased Gemma, he thought abouthow they were going to present themselves. It was most likely expected semi-formal attire. He sighed and reluctantly let Gemma go, then began work transfiguring his shirt into something a bit more breathable. Linen instead of cotton, for one thing...white instead of black for another...And embellishment for the hell of it.
Orion slipped the 'new' shirt over his undershirt and decided to leave it untucked. It had a more Middle Eastern cut to it, and looked good the way it was. He looked down at himself and preened a little.
"So, this looks good enough, don't you think? Shall we go down?"
Gemma snuggled further against Orion, trying not to smile as he whispered to her. The longer he talked, though, the more she felt herself going limp: it nearly broke her mind to realize just how much Orion could affect her... with words alone, no less; it would've been much worse if he'd been touching her more than he currently was by holding her close.
"D-don't talk like that, Ri," she stammered, nearly flushing as she tried and failed to contain herself, "I've already had one Veela episode today... don't push your luck on another one..." He let her go to get his shirt, and she actually reached after him, her hands brushing his arm and back before she realized what she was doing. She laughed, though a bit nervously, for she was genuinely worried about the possibility of another episode on her part. The one earlier had gotten her into a great deal of trouble....
To keep her hands from reaching out again, she sat on them, but her eyes never left Orion as he changed his shirt into a new one. He put it on and asked her if she thought it looked good enough, and if she was ready to go down to dinner. The corners of Gemma's mouth twitched up, and she carefully stood up and wrapped her arms around his neck, tugging his head down for a sensual, lingering kiss.
"When do you not look good, Ri darling?" she murmured, smirking at him, then retrieved her shoes, wand, and holster, and took his hand with her empty one, lacing her fingers with his. "But yes, it looks perfectly good enough, your mother will approve." She paused, then glanced up at Orion, biting her lip. "Will... will your father be there, too, do you think? He's... he's a bit..." Gemma wasn't sure what word she wanted to use to describe Mr. Burgess, but the first one that popped out of her mouth was "....scary..." She blushed at her silliness and leaned her head against Orion's chest to hide her rose-red face.
