November 12nd
Things had been moving too slow for her taste. Evie knew that patience would be her best way to take Trevor down, after all that was one of the ways he bested her all those times in the past but it was getting so hard that he was so close to her and yet so far away. She had to do something, all this planning and planning and planning was getting them nowhere without action.
Evie had offered Lucy and Casey a place within Isis, they were just as tired of inaction as she was and had accepted. Lucy, she knew probably only agreed to get Sam back but part of her thought that Lucy was tired of sitting out and watching from the side lines. Merlin knew Evie had been when she was in that situation and look where that got her. Even if Lucy did have a small child to look after there was still much she could do.
Now, Casey on the other hand. She knew that he was tired of sitting around while what was left of the 'Order' did nothing but pick their noses. And she knew that he wanted Trevor gone (almost) as much as she and they both wanted Julian back safe and sound...but, they had a history when it came to something like this and Evie was worried of what would happen. She flat out told Casey when she made him the offer that if he was to agree that he would listen to her orders, that she was in charge and he really had no say in something if he didn't like it. Sure, she would listen and consider his advice; after all he was a seasoned veteran when it came to this but the final decision was ultimately hers to make. He claimed not to have a problem with her demands but only time would tell.
The days that had gone by with no action had led Evie to do what she was doing tonight. She had heard whispers through the appropriate channels about a man that would give information or per-cure hard to find items for the right price and Evie had something in mind, something she wanted very very much. While having been tucked away in hiding for the few weeks she had been here Casey had showed her how to navigate her way through the mazes and traps that acted as security. It took some time but Evie was confidante that she knew her way in and around them to leave.
Leaving a note that said she would be back later behind on her small desk for Casey should he come looking for her in her room Evie left and headed 'home.' She was not here to stay merely to gather some things and make herself presentable. It had been ages since Evie actually got a chance to dress up and feel pretty and even if it was just for a few minutes she was going to enjoy it and take her time making herself passable. The so called man she sought out worked in a upscale lounge from what she understood and Evie needed to blend in, make herself noticeable but also forgettable the moment she walked away.
It was a risk, she knew. This bar was in Wizarding London and the chance of her being spotted was high but this was something she needed. Under any other circumstance she would have used a pollyjuice potion but her supply was running low and with how long it took to make and cure she needed to save what was left for the coming weeks.
Going to the closet of her apartment Evie shifted through the clothes until she found what she was looking for. It took a little longer than she expected (her weakness for clothes and the 'girly' things hadn't really gone away and her closet was full of things and nothing seemed right for what she was going for) but finally Evie pulled out a simple black dress and a pair of black pumps and went to change.
Once she was changed she did her makeup, nothing too bold, just a natural looking face with a pale blush and smokey eyes..like she said, she needed to be memorable but not too memorable. Using her wand Evie change her hair color and altered her facial features the best she could without them looking unattractive (transfiguration had never been a strong suit for her she remembered, she was decent enough to pass in school but thats about it) and stuck her wand in a clutch and apparted toward Knockturn Alley . She wished she could have done something to change her appearance completely but like she said her potion supply was low and a wig would have looked fake from up close, she was just going to have to deal and hope no one figured out who she was.
As Evie got close to the club she got into character. People here were a different breed and you had to act a certain way to blend in and people like this man would never come right out and say who they were and what they did. It was always a game when you talked and you have to be able to pick up on certain things when you did business. Pushing her shoulders back and walking with a slight swing she walked up to the bar entrance and charmed her way inside. Once in Evie headed for the bar and slid into a bar stool away from any other patrons. Now all she had to do was figure out who this man was and get his attention...shouldn’t be that hard.
