The problem Casey was having was a lack of information. They had a way in. They had the number of people they needed. They had supplies, and all sorts of other things. And they were talking about explosions. This would be considered an act of terrorism, and if any of them got caught death would probably be the least of their worries. But they had plans set up for a fall guy. Ianto's soul was marred, and he didn't care about the innocent lives that would be taken in this. Neither did Evie. Apparently Casey still had morals, which could prove to be a problem. He didn't look at the other man at all. Ianto tapped the tabletop with his wand, making the map disappear. It would only reappear for Ianto or Evie. No other people knew the muttered phrase, and it wouldn't respond to anyone else's wands. Simple as that. Ianto licked his lips, let out a sigh, and snatched his empty coffee cup out of the air.
"I'm afraid, Casey, that you would have to ask Evie that. It's not my place to say what you're allowed to know and what you're... not ready for." He glanced at Casey, then back at Evie. One eyebrow slowly raised. There was a question on his face of course, plain as day for her to see. Of course there were a billion questions raising in his mind, so he simply voiced the one he needed an answer to. "Are you sure we can use his help in this Evie?" Never mind the fact the man was in the room, standing right next to Ianto and Evie. It was a clear cut question, at least in his mind. If Casey couldn't be used because of his morals, then he knew too much. Ianto's instant reaction would be to take care of the threat Casey posed.
He would kill Casey.
In a way, that was what he was asking Evie without really saying so out loud. If she said yes, then Ianto wouldn't kill him. If she said no, then there was no question in Ianto's mind. He would kill Casey without a blink of an eyelash. Anyone who got in the way or posed a threat to what they were doing would be killed. Of course, the other problem was the fact that Casey was still not as dead as he was supposed to be, and Evie could be emotionally unbalanced by this. But she was still his leader, and so he was asking her the question. He would trust her answer, for now. Given half a chance though, Ianto still was considering killing him. He couldn't do it that night of course, because that would be too obvious. But at some point in this madness, he might have been able to. Maybe.
He was poised on the edge of a cliff. Standing there, and waiting for Evie's word to push him one way or another. Either over the edge with murder on his hands, or back to safer ground. He looked calm, relaxed, and almost harmless, standing there easily with wand in one hand and the empty coffee cup in the other. But his jaw was locked, one eyebrow still lifted as he waited. He was honestly like a rabid attack dog that she just had to loose. He already knew what he would do, spell on the tip of his tongue and ready. The sound of the shattering coffee cup would ring and he'd get right to work, like always. Just a word. His entire world was waiting on a yes or no in that moment. Staring at Evie, waiting for her answer, poised and ready with his heart steadily beating in his chest.
Innocents meant nothing to Ianto Sayer. Their deaths would be horrible, yes, but they would die for a reason. For a cause. He was a monster on the inside, just as much as some of the men he thought responsible for the death of his family. He had become what he hated, but he found he couldn't care less about it all. Those deep blue eyes held no mercy. Not for Casey. Not for Evie. Not for anyone in the world. Not even for himself. The bigger question for Ianto was, could his soul be saved? He had once been a religious man, raised by a very religious woman. There was no doubt in his mind that heaven would reject his soul. He'd be trapped in the pits of hell for eternity. But he didn't care. He was that devoted to this cause.
