Alan's reaction was quite priceless. He froze mid-step, blinking at her, and actually dropped the two mugs he was carrying. Urania wanted to laugh, but laughing wasn't something easily done while in wolf form. An odd little sound halfway between a growl and whine was the result, and her tail thumped a bit faster.
"Oh... I suppose... that would work as well. I'll go.... I'll go make some more tea."
He even sounded surprised, his voice definitely quiet, almost subdued. When he headed back to the kitchen, Nia sat up, tucking her tail around her haunches. Her ears perked to catch the sounds of Alan pouring out more tea, and she got fully to her feet, going over to the coffee table to sniff at what he'd put down there. Ooh... honey. She liked honey. But no cream... or even milk... hmm. She could ask, or go without, whichever was appropriate.
Alan re-entered the room, and the wolf's tail started its frantic dance again, its doggy smile returning. It trotted over to him, then escorted him back to the coffee table, acting for all the world like a rather fierce-looking but soft-hearted dog. Once there wasn't a fear of him dropping the cups again, it gave a little leap, propelling itself onto its back legs, and abruptly shifted back into Urania, who giggled helplessly.
"Sorry, Alan, I couldn't resist... and besides, it's what I usually do when I'm cold..." Now that she was back in human form, her body went right back into "cold mode," meaning that she had to hastily cross her arms over her chest to hide the evidence. She grabbed her blanket from the couch rather awkwardly and wrapped it about her shoulders, waiting to see what he would say.
