Sullivan sat behind his desk, indicating that she should do the same, and so Selene stiffly took one of the two chairs before his desk. She usually preferred to stand, but if Sullivan was sitting, she should likely do the same. She watched with some interest as the human man turned and withdrew something... shiny... from one of the cabinets behind his desk. She recoiled slightly when he set it on the desk, for she could feel the power coming from it, hear the whispers within the silvery fluid it contained. Snatches of conversations... thoughts... things she knew she wasn't supposed to hear.
This is a human magic... they do not know that others may take more from it than they themselves do...
"I'm guessing that he meant this. When he arrives, he'll provide the memory for us and we can enter it and see, feel, sense what he did. I've use this with his memories before, so I feel like I should warn you that you will be able to smell as he smells. It's...distracting."
"Enter... a memory?" Selene's confusion was clear in her voice. "I did not know your kind had such a magic..." Her lip curled, exposing her fangs, when Sullivan mentioned the Garou's memory containing his sense of smell. "I shall endure it," she muttered, resisting the urge to hiss, "I can scent quite well enough on my own, it shall not be such a shock as for a human."
She had a sudden memory of the Garou's odd behavior towards the Thestral, and spoke up, knowing she wouldn't allow herself the bending of her pride once he stood in the room.
"Your Garou and its wolf are... strange," she stated abruptly, instantly hating herself for the flush, which returned in all its old strength. She forged ahead, doing her best to ignore it. "They treat animals other than those used for their food with kindness. And... and he thanked me. Garou do not thank my kind, nor we them. Such is not the way of things. He ought to know this." She wasn't sure what to say after that -- she wasn't sure how to put what she was wondering -- and so she fell silent, tracing the runes on the armor band clasped about her thigh.
