I want so much more than they got planned

Araelia meandered through the shelves of the library, glancing at titles. Now where was it? The mythology section liked to move around for some reason, so every few weeks she had to locate it again. Last month was Egyptian myths, the standard Osiris, Isis, Bastet deities. This time, she wanted to move a bit farther north into the Middle East. If she could just find the... Oh, finally. Five stacks back and two to the right of where it was last time. She pulled a bound tome from the shelf, placing a pair of enchanted glasses on her face. Children's Folk Tales from Arabia Well that was a bland title, but a good place to start.
There was a buzz and a fritz, a small electrical jolt jumped from the glasses to her face and at once, the words once in English melted back to their original Arabic language. Oh, frizzles. Looks like the glasses were out of juice. She took them off and stared. They wouldn't be able to be replaced until next summer. Wait... Araelia stood up and looked around. Wasn't there an exchange student who spoke Arabic? Luck then, since she was able to pick up a children's book. Right, so the girl's name was... Farrah? At least that's what the other Gryffindors might have called her. Other than "that Arab girl", to which she chastised them every time.
Might as well start in the library. Araelia thought she saw someone fitting Farrah's description somewhere a few stacks ago. She backtracked, eyes darting every which way, trying to formulate a reasonable explanation as to why she'd need her help. Ah, there she is. "Miss Farrah? May I speak with you?"

[Note: Rawr. Not exactly how I thought it would be, but a 5 hour break between the start and the end of a post would do that.]
