”Black Spiral Dancer,” he said without missing a beat, chest puffed out a bit, clearly proud of his heritage. So what if she knew the name of his tribe. It’s not like that could be used to harm them in any way. She looked like she was about to say something else, perhaps another question or something equally as boring, but she stopped at the last minute opting instead to just to the transforming thing again.
It wasn’t like he was a stranger to watching things shift; he watched his body, and the bodies of his pack mates twist and contort into their natural forms before, but for some reason he couldn’t pry his eyes off the woman as her human form slowly changed. To Soren, the transformation seemed less far less painful than his own, but bay and far the most fascinating part about the whole thing was the fact that she could do it without the moon.
He reflexively recoiled and let out a low growl once she was fully transformed, thinking her play bow was her just readying to spring, but after a moment he relaxed slightly realizing what she was doing. The beta let out a disgusted snort. That behavior was so not becoming of a wolf of any kind in his mind. Sure, his own pack goofed off more often than not, but there was still a rough, wild and dangerous edge to their play and no one ever came off as weak. Everyone knew their place. This one however…
The sight of the black wolf rolling to it side a barring its stomach a neck to him though… That brought a fanged grin to his face and a wicked glint to his eyes. Finally some respect. ”Get up before you hurt yourself mutt,” he said, a soft chuckle following his words. She was no threat to him and never would be. Soren let himself fall back on his butt and leaned back comfortably on his arms; as relaxed a position as he would ever get in without his pack around. He watched her a moment, absently wondering what she would do now. After a few minutes of silence he felt compelled to ask her a few questions, mainly what name she went by. If they were going to talk they may as well have something to call each other rather than the typical ‘hey you’. ”What do you call yourself then? I’m Soren…”
