For every green light, there's a warning sign
Liss's body tensed up slightly when she was first picked up but relaxed once they started moving. It would have been easier for Selene if she wasn't such a stiff board. Right? At least, that was her thinking. The trip down was frightening, to say the least. Yes, she trusted Selene not to fall, especially since she had night vision, but she couldn't see how much farther until the bottom. Irrational fear set in and she hoped the tower wouldn't stretch on forever. Time already seemed slow enough. Every step jostled her very subtly. But Liss trusted Selene enough to make sure that she would be in one piece at the end of this journey. Miss Nightshade's affections went that deep, something Liss was filing away for future knowledge. Not that she'd be manipulative or anything, but it was nice to have a female friend.
They reached the ground floor and Liss prepared herself to be released. She wasn't expecting Selene to take her all the way outside, though. How gracious. Selene was turning out to be an interesting friend the more Liss spent time with her. Even if the lady treated her like a doll. It was an interesting feeling. To be doted upon.
"I will be well, yes. Thank you for everything, Miss Selene." Liss bowed, very grateful and very happy. "I wish you well, also. Please take care. Perhaps we shall see each other again." She waited for Selene's response before making any motions to leave. It was only polite after all and she wanted to hear the Nosferatu's voice once more, in an effort to believe that everything wasn't a dream.
She curtsyed again and took in a deep breath, preparing herself mentally. This was going to hurt. Liss gave Selene another smile before turning on the spot, Apparating back to her home.
